Bug Workaround: Missing Pop-up Camps

The Issue

There is an issue where the game says you have a limit of 5 pop up camps, but you can only place 4 before it says "0/5" and when you remove all of your camps it will say "4/5" and won't let you place all 5 camps. I have personally encountered this issue on Windward Plains, Oilwell Basin, and Ruins of Wyveria (though there my limit is 4 camps but I was only able to place 3, so similar issue.)

The Workaround

I don't know what causes the bug, but I found out what it's doing and how to fix it.
The problem is there is a camp set up that is missing from the menu somewhere, so you have to compare the ones in the menu with the ones you are able to fast travel to, find the one that isn't on the menu, fast travel to it, take it down, and put it back up. You should have everything correct after that!

Thanks for sharing. I was trying to fix a similar camps bug earlier. I had more camps than the limit of each area for a while, ex. -5/5 pop-up. After removing a few from the menu, I could only place less than the original limit as well.

I just back in and out the menu until it stops being greyed out.

Its legitimately annoying, but at least you dont have to fast travel and do it manually...
This game needs the Spring patch to come ASAP....

gonna revive this post, but does anyone have a solution for when the camp is just gone?
my camp menu says 0/5 camp slots are free, but there's only 4 camps on the map. I checked all the camp spots, but there's just one missing...

if you do not have the option to fast travel to a camp, it means its destroyed (but still counts as built)....

go to base camp, fin the Support Desk palico, he has the option to manage pop-up camps, from there you see all discovered camp locations in the zone, all camps you have set up and you have the option to repair/remove/build camps without actually traveling to the location
