Do you run always most "meta" damage builds or more comfy builds ?

I am playing since Tri and I would say my hunting times are pretty decent with anything between 7-12 minutes for most endgame fights in everything since 4U.

Buuut I always use comfy builds, I close to always have evade extender, evade window, divine blessing etc.
Maybe I am not that good it dodging even after like 20k hours in the series or I don't know but my hunting times are just better when having more comfy stuff.

Now in Wilds I did try another super meta dps builds and my hunting times are also just slower because I just play worse, I think I will never be a super ultra good MH player who can play pure dps builds without problems even when its my most played series.

So I was wondering do you play pure dps builds and are good with it without getting tiled or do you also have more comfy builds with still decent hunting times in it ?

I always go maxed out gobbler and medicine as soon as I reasonably can, it's hilarious just chugging your problems away unless you get caught out enough to get 2 shot

i run what i always ran which s evasion + crit build, idk if its meta or not, never looked.

I usually just pick what armor i like the look of the best and stick with it (misses Rathian amor's look that it had from Tri to MHGU)

Only running rank 1 of earplugs because of the slots that I can afford and it's still helpful since it will shorten almost every roar in the game, but when G rank comes out it's a skill I'll always have maxed out no matter what, even if I have max evasion, even if I have a weapon that block (maybe except CB and lance, maybe sns in this game), because it's always 3 or more seconds of free damage and repositioning.

I usually makes my own build... it consist of usually 1 comfy skill with other damage skill or sometimes 2 comfy and the rest is damage... full damage build never clicked with me and im not a speedrunner anyway so I don't care about kill monster as fast as you can

I run whatever I find to be the most fun. If maximizing damage is what's fun, I do that. If the weapon itself is what's fun, I run skills that allow that weapon to reach it's full potential. Comfort and meta are interchangeable for me. Builds can be much more than just, "number go higher."

I always have dash extender level III because it's just so usefull. But when I saw that rarity 8 Arkvel armor I had to go meta.. Nah this is SO broken man

Evade Extender + Quick sheate/rapid morph are my go to in this game with chargeblade. For offensive i really like Maximum Might, Wex, and burst

I just use whatever. I avoid whatever the 'meta' is though. It's just no fun copying what everyone else is doing.
