Mini Crown Rey Dau grind actually has me genuinely going insane

10 hours. Went from 38K Guild Points to 10K. At minimum 250+ Rey Dau observed in the field, SOS flares, etc. Where is it? Where is this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Mini Crown Rey Dau? I am genuinely losing my mind trying to find this thing. I knew the Apex monsters would be the hardest to crown, but oh my god. Even MINI ARKVELD showed up before Mini Rey Dau to rub salt in the wound. I have tried Fallow, I have tried Inclemency, I have tried Plenty-- I've even tried moving camp locations to see if, for some reason that's preventing it. I have S E V E N Huge Crown Rey Dau investigations. I literally have almost every other crown in the plains except this wannabe Seregios with an artillery tesla cannon strapped to its forehead. Uth Duna wasn't this bad. Nu Udra wasn't this bad. The guild needs to authorize me a f***ing THERAPIST for the actual mental toll this is having hearing that trumpet in that song, over, and over, and OVER. I am genuinely convinced the game is bugged, because every time I do find a small Rey Dau, IT STILL SAY IT'S NOT A MINI CROWN. I am genuinely baffled at either how cosmically abysmal my luck is with this, or how absurd of a bug this is, because the completionist in me is in absolute agony with how abysmal this has been. I feel like Sisyphus rolling a boulder up a hill, except it's the corpses of like 37 Rey Dau.

Like, actually, tell me: HOW IS THIS NOT A MINI CROWN, GAME? WHAT DO YOU MEAN?!

Omg I'm in the same dilemma.. anyone ever found a mini rey dau just to check if this isn't a hopeless pursuit? :(

A friend I played with shared with me their investigation which had a mini Rey Dau. He saved it for because he knew exactly how rare they are.

mine were 140k rp to below 300 rp and still got 2 crown left at that time. my arch nemesis was small crown nu dra 3 days of spam resting , the next challanger was small gore magala but it does not even take 6 hours of attemp

A method i read is, to change the weather to sand storm, check the size of the apex, quit without saving and then check again.

i wouldnt go so hot on gold crown hunting just yet, theres going to be events with higher chances of crowns, id wait for those tbh

How do you guys lose so much RP? It costs 300 to save an investigation... and you get well over 300 for a single fight. O_o?

You use them to rest -> rest change the current monster spawn -> so you keep resetting the spawn until a Rey Dau spawns you want.

That easily burns through all the guild points.

Going for golden fish gets you a lot of gp, i think it was like 50 per fish, something to keep in mind.

I was in the opposite boat from you (finished all my crown farming earlier today).
Did all my crowns just by joining SOS investigations, Rey Dau being the last monsters I went for.
By the time I got to Rey Dau I think I got a mini in the first 5 or 6 hunts that I did. Large Crown? Almost 8 hours of joining SOSs. I might have more Rey Dau hunts than every other monster combined. I must have seen at least 12 or 13 silver crowns by the time I actually got the Large one.

You don't need to keep resting, just rest in wild plains inclement weather daytime or evening once. Resting auto saves everything. Then, go check the Rey Dau size with binoculars. Don't save or rest again if not the right size, just reset to title screen and repeat process. No need to waste research points.

I swear the crowns are not even weighed, I have seen 7 large crown nu udra and more large crowns of the other apexes, but not ONE miniature crown. Is it bugged?
