Artian weapons make monster part weapons feel pointless.
Why did they add a separate weapon system that's stronger then the normal weapon tree?

It feels extra bad because you can't even layer the weapons for looks so your stuck with these specific weapons rather then grinding for cool looking monster part ones.

Atian weapons are just a lil bit stronger and sometimes they aint. There is a certain amount of grind behind it but not worth just for power reason.

So stick with weapon you like... ppl say the game is easy as is so why minmax ;)?
Its a ♥♥♥♥ mechanic.

This will just end up being like the Kulve Taroth weapons in World, best for a time then superseded by something else.

I do agree that a weapon customisation system that ends up making stronger weapons than the stuff you get from monsters feels kinda bad. For the most part I don't use the Artian weapons as I prefer the look of the monster stuff, plus like the guy above said, the game is easy enough that you don't need to min/max to get by.

If you are not a speedrunner, there is absolutely nothing to worry about. Difference between them is not something like Safi weapons or kulve weapons from World you know. It's like 5% to 7% power difference at max.

You can easily use the monster weapons if you want. I think layered weapons will be here with free title updates at some point.
I don't get the point of this. Every end build make the other monsters parts pointless. The whole point is that you have to reach the Artian weapons using the previous.
not really, some max level tree weapon got better skill set/element dmg/ packed with standard frame that boost normal ammo.

It depend on your build
lets ignore the fact every single artian weapon is worse than gor magala gunlance

Considering the Artian weapons can have elements on base bowgun ammunition it's insanely broken and BiS in all cases.

artian gunlances suck, guardian arkveld gunlance for life

Artian Weapons fill the need of keeping an endgame going, which is better than what World had (just Deco farming) and Rise (nothing?) Talking Base games, before some moron comes out and starts bringing up Iceborne and Sunbreak.

Yea true, you don't need them by any means, but the fact the rank 8 artian weapons have three 3 slots and can customize how you want makes it hard not to prefer. It's nice being able to make them without fighting a specific monster over and over but that's about it.

but lack standard mode, mean it doesn't have 10-20% ammo dmg bonuses unlike the normal tree

i prefer high affinity monster weapon personally for my crit build. few more affinity from an artian weapon d be pointless for me.
Arkvel gunlance is considered stronger than the artians version. you have to upgrade your artian for the right specs and that also require more resources as you can mess up. to be stronger than a monster weapon. This just gives more reason for people to jump on and play. Unless you plan to go for a speed run I wouldn't worry about a few points differences in the weapons. Monster weapons are still pretty good and in this game some people's end game is the fashion while they hunt.
