Can poison AND paralysis be applied together?

I've been hunting with some friends AND something I noticed Is that they have paralysis weapons and I have a poison one but we finish the hunts and NEVER see the poison getting applied no matter how many combos I hit and when I'm going in solo, I do apply poison many times, any of you Know if one cancela the other?

Yes, but generally poison is rarely noticeable as it's 15 damage every few ticks.

Poison buildup is pretty slow for little gain since it doesn't last very long. You can have every status building up at all times. If you want to apply status quick I think the bowguns apply them fastest. But Status bullets don't do as much damage in exchange

You can use one burst of the rathian light bow gun to test if you get the poison proc. Since it always has the extended poison trait it add more ticks.... but yeah 15 dmg is 15 dmg.

Better than nothing. Plus some monsters are weak to it.

You have to consider that 15 a tick is not as bad as you think. Its built up damage over the course of a certain period, dot damage that continuously happens when you're not hitting the monster or staggered by the monster. It probably doesn't do as well as multiple players having poison, but one poison in the team along with others causing different ailments is more welcomed.

no yeah, I agree with you guys, but the thing is, we never see the effect ever being applied, I have the skill that boost my attack for monsters that are under paralysis or poison and I don't ever see that one being activated, so I'm not sure if it is a bug or something or maybe neither me or my friends are paying enough attention xd
