Report a translation problem
As for why, I start most of my quests from the map screen by now unless I´m already out and about gathering stuff and run into a monster I want to hunt.
So having different starting points can put you a little closer to your target.
Some monsters also travel really far when they switch location and a little fast travel can make your hunt a bit faster (though I don´t bother with that)
A lot of the safe camp spots also come with a couple ressources. Some ore, some fish or plants. So thats a neat bonus.
All that said, I didn´t bother much with camps until I was in the lategame because while they can be a neat little help, they are by no means a necessaty.
