HR Wounds: you're prob doing it wrong
About 90% of "High Rank" players (and I'm being generous) are still just focus striking to focus strike. Hopefully, a few people see this and it improves everyone's experience.

So, if you are FS (focus striking) a wound as soon as it pops or because you like big damage..... stop.

There are a lot of reasons to keep a wound open. A lot of skills interact with the new mechanic so destroying them instantly isn't always the best option. You prob even have a skill that causes you to do more damage to wounded body parts (not just by FS). If the monster is downed, you don't get a whole lot of benefit from destroying it. Some weapons do more than just damage. For example, if your LS teammate is on Yellow charge, you can let him break for the Red. If you are a 2 weapon "main" you are most likely are just screwing over your teammates, because you don't know what the other weapons capabilities are. If you see a guy heal to full when he destroys a wound...... let him do that when he is low health. I promise you, that's his whole build.

Just food for thought. Be a team player. Good Hunting.

People are missing the point, it should be COMMON KNOWLEDGE that certain weapons are better than others for wounds and not all wounds should be broken at the same time. Some weapons benefit from wounds to get easier resource acquisition and the cc cna be handy to keep up dps on your ENTIRE PARTY

Currently it may not matter because it's just HR, but when G ranks drop we may have an issue

Game too easy to care right now, unless some hard raid bosses come there is zero need for any teamwork.

There's this amazing new thing called "Voice chat".
If you have a game plan, try using it to tell others. Or maybe even just prepare some messages you can easily throw out to advise people.
Some will listen, some won't.

It's really not any more complicated than that.
i do... but most people have it off or something... bcuz like may be 1 in 50 people actually listen,

Welcome to multiplayer gaming! Where people gather to play online games with others and communicate as little as possible! :47_thumb_up:

Seriously, though, that's just the luck of the draw for random groups. Sometimes you get a good group, sometimes a bad one, and sometimes a mix.

For every 10 Stubborn players there is 1 hero who gets it. Keep being the positive forward thinker. Love to see it.

I play IG. Trust me, I can reach that wound.

Well he is giving you 20 secs to get it as a courtesy. Y'all should play together. Best Friends for sure. :)
It's worth noting there's some kind of client side interaction that goes on with wound breaking that allows 2 players to attack the same wound, so say you're playing a weapon that gets more benefit from breaking wounds than most like LS or IG, and you see someone else attacking a wound, you can attack it as well and if you're fast enough (which doesn't seem to be hard, I've done this many times online now), once you lock in the attack animation you'll still get the benefits of your wound attack effects even though the wound is already broken by the other player.
Always pop wounds in 4p. The extra damage from popping wound with focus strike is significantly higher than attacking it normally and it disappears.
This extra pop damage only happens in focus strike.

In 1p, the extra damage is lower than just attacking it, so just play whatever you want.

Game knowledge is important, hope you learnt something.
destroy wound fast to make new wound faster. with flayer and part break you do big damage. also you get good part breaking damage. also, a lot of weapons need to use wounds to get there gauge up. better to break it early before it breaks by simply getting his by normal attacks.

There is a bit of jank to the player/server/client interaction. Taking advantage of it is brilliant. I can't get people to even consider thinking outside the box.

How about I just pop it when I feel like it?
Plus this game is already the easiest MH have ever been, I don't see a reason to maxmin it.

A lot of people feel this way. Just enjoy the game. No one expects you to be a team player or learn how to do anything better. The game is too easy to care about that. Just for ppl who are interested.

With great sword the wound pops in a single charge slash anyways. Might as well focus strike it for the extra stagger and possible knockdown.
and get a free pass into TCS which can create more wounds to then chain back into a focus strike. Been able to bounce between those two moves many times like that

I see where you're coming from but unless I'm with a fixed group who are very clear about their plan, then i'll just accept the ranged guys are going to pop a wound as soon as it shows. Hell I often call them out to my LBG friend as soon as I spot one.

Whenever you pop a wound you basically get a free carve and do a boatload of damage. Sure you can build around it, but if we're farming a monster for parts, it's always going to be more efficient to pop the wound as fast as possible to get as many carves as you can.

If you spec down into gameplay revolving around wounds but then go public, you're going to have a bad time, as most gunners\bow users will just pop it right away for the carve.
