Game telling me it's not on an SSD even though it is?

I only have two drives I primarily use on this computer - one that is two physical drives formatted into one volume, and the other that's a drive by itself which I have my OS on. I have a HDD but I only use that for extra storage and not general use. I do not have a steam installation on a non-SSD. For whatever reason though whenever I boot up this game, it's telling me that it's not on an SSD. Why?

What brand SSD? What does the exact message say?

If you think an SSD in 2025 is still the thick credit card looking thing on a SATA interface you done messed up. Go study for Comptia A+ or something.

It is an SSD still, never got a name change. Its just slower sata kind but can still run fine with this game. I suspect the message is related to direct storage though and it meaning its not an NVME SSD.

"Run fine" No one is doubting it works. They are just about 25 times slower than modern NVMe 5.0 SSD's which is the reason even the current consoles are using them. Also if the game is looking for what is considered a fast SSD now than it's not looking for the 20 year old SSD tech.

My load times are typically less than a second and never longer than a couple of seconds, so I really don't think it makes a difference lmao

WD Blue. Yes they're SATA SSDs, but the message specifically says "The selected storage location for the game is not an SSD."
I guess my SSDs aren't real SSDs according to Capcom lol

Game is on a NVme and i still get ssd message. i think its just letting you know

If you are using raid the game also does not detect it as an ssd. But works normaly.

To answer you OP: I had the same problem. I didn't get anything in game that would indicate it was a problem, textures loaded in just fine too. Moved to my NVME and the message stopped popping but performance is exactly the same so I have no idea.

Any particular part of that that's important? Because there's a LOT of info there.
This isn't really a big deal, I'm not having any issues with running the game at all, I'm just wondering why it pops up this warning every time I launch.

Everything is important about the DxDiag report. If you do not want to share, then you need to check the virtual memory first.

Is B: your OS drive???

You need to make space, regardless whether B: or C: is your OS drive. There is far too little for the virtual memory.

And the memory leak to begin with - shocking that even your PDF reader suffers from it.

Are you using VM? If not I suggest strongly to deactivate the services, or reinstall them. From the looks of it, your PC would do good with a format and fresh Windows 11 Pro installation.
