Prove to me it's an advantage then lol
It's not an advantage. I think OP is merely pointing out that using a DPS Calculator is not vanilla to the game considering that in order to use a DPS calculator one must install a 3rd party software to use said program therefore violating TOS
I think thats the point
well you cant say that someone's definition is "factually" wrong without "factually" elaborating what is wrong with the definition in the first place
I have asked numerous times for how using damage meters isn't giving your an unfair advantage over other players that are not using them. No one has been able to answer...
where? cause i havent seen any factual thing that you pointed out that is wrong with the definition
actually you were answered several times
because it's really not giving an unfair advantage it does not affect the game it just inflates ego (but i guess maybe to some people bigger numbers means something on a non competitive game since each weapon has their own DPS scaling)
if anything its all ego based theres no real advantage or disadvantage to using a DPS calculator
but people need to accept that if they intend to use it? it's not vanilla to the game and is required to operate with a 3rd party program therefore violating TOS
I'd agree with this because counting cards does provide an advantage over someone who isn't counting cards. However, in the context of the discussion, a DPS meter does not provide an advantage over someone not using a DPS meter.
If you're going to call my take bad, learn what context means.
Here's the answer you want: It doesn't provide you an unfair advantage because it's simply data. Knowing your DPS doesn't give you any tangible or provable advantage over someone who doesn't know their DPS.
alright i see what you're doing here and im not going to continue entertaining it
Lets you know how much damage has been done to the monster, therefore letting you know when the fight will end. Damage meters are Cheating, thanks for proving my points.
