I just kicked someone for posting damage meters
Was just being chill and playing some online monster hunter. Was hosting these cool two monster hunts and then during one of them some random person posted damage meters in the chat like it was world of warcraft. So I kicked them.

Monster hunter is about having fun and not about being a speed runner.

8) Prohibited matters
8.1 When using the Program, users shall not carry out any of the following acts:
8.1.1 (i) Infringing Capcom’s intellectual property rights, such as reproducing (excluding reproduction for the purpose of installing the Program), modifying, altering, translating, analyzing, reverse engineering, or extracting the code from all or a part of the Program

Your DPS parser is a 3rd party tool, so by using it you are acting against Capcom End User License Agreement, which you agreed before start any games(either you read it or just yes) so you are cheating by modifying the game.

Posting damage meters on public is bannable in FF14, there were many Streamer got warning banned by using it live.

You keep it to yourself and be quite about it.
Your argument in training zone is invalid because that function doesnt works outside of the training zone.

If this still not satisfy you then go to 8.1.7

You are causing discomfort to majority of players that didnt use tool/other technology by OP case, posting it in the public.

This is why I use hunting horns. Can't complain about my DPS when I'm boosting your damage, healing your ♥♥♥♥-ups, and bringing a mad beat.

I use the overlay mod for personal data gathering and just to see how certain damage and status thresholds work and such, but i keep that info to myself and on top of that only really play in a group of my friends on discord.

Don't understand why people would post that kind of information in chat to randos, if someone wanted to know that information they'd probably mod it in themselves.

Edit: I also want to point out that the DPS tracker in that mod and all mods that have one is horribly inaccurate and not even close to being any kind of useful information so someone trying to make a point posting their dps numbers in chat is extra funny because of that.

The ♥♥♥♥ are you on about? People get kicked for posting unsolicited DPS meter results in WoW too. In fact DPS meter spam being considered direspectful and worthy of kicking somebody from a group over originated in WoW.

Meters in WoW also tend to track more than just DPS, which can lead to someone else roasting the would-be gloater by pointing out that they interrupted/stunned mobs 0 times, took an obscene amount of easily avoidable damage, etc.
