Don't understand why people would post that kind of information in chat to randos, if someone wanted to know that information they'd probably mod it in themselves.
Edit: I also want to point out that the DPS tracker in that mod and all mods that have one is horribly inaccurate and not even close to being any kind of useful information so someone trying to make a point posting their dps numbers in chat is extra funny because of that.
The ♥♥♥♥ are you on about? People get kicked for posting unsolicited DPS meter results in WoW too. In fact DPS meter spam being considered direspectful and worthy of kicking somebody from a group over originated in WoW.
Meters in WoW also tend to track more than just DPS, which can lead to someone else roasting the would-be gloater by pointing out that they interrupted/stunned mobs 0 times, took an obscene amount of easily avoidable damage, etc.
