"Top of The Food Chain" achievement not unlocking

I was wondering if anyone had got this to pop for them. I am beginning to wonder if Tempered version doesn't count or if you can't capture them. I have over 60 apex kills/captures and still no achievement :(

Just to give some clarification, when you look at the monster list, only count the "Hunted" Portion. The number captured is counted in the hunted portion already, but also shown separately

I have 22 hunts for gore magala, 8 of those hunts were captures. As you can see I do not have the 30 hunt title.

So thats 14 kills 8 captures.

Can someone confirm what the reason is for not unlocking this achievement, does it not count low rank or like captured monsters?

The issue, as NiamhNux explained, is that the total number of hunts isn't Hunted + Captured like OP thought. The total number you have slain is Hunted - Captured, the Hunted stat is Slain + Captured.
So in the screenshot above, that's 22 hunts total, with 14 of them slay and 8 capture, not 30 with 22 slay and 8 capture.
