Its not easier than other Monster Hunter Games
I said it—I don’t think it’s easier than other Monster Hunter titles. It’s more accessible, yes. It has a lot (maybe too much) of QoL improvements compared to the previous games. BUT it’s not per se easier. Yes, wounding and breaking take huge chunks out of the monster’s HP pool, BUT the monsters aren’t easier. Rathalos can still wipe you out without much trouble.

So why do we think it’s easier? Because we got better.

I started an all-new playthrough in World (without Guardian armor) two weeks before Wilds just to get back into the franchise. And you know what? I didn’t have any problems. I rushed through until the first real wall: Anjanath. That thing made me rage quit four or five times on my first playthrough before I finally beat it. And now? I was chuckling while hammering that b**** back into extinction.

Did I gear up? Nope. Did I farm extensively like in my first playthrough? No. I just got better at the game.

And I promise you—go back to your harder versions and start a fresh playthrough (without Guardian armor or any crutches), and I guarantee it’ll be easier. Maybe much easier than you remember.

And that just proves—you got better.

And that makes me happy. I have real, provable skill in a game I love. And that feels great. Really, really great.

No gore is easy without tools. For veterans. For new players even with tools they struggle. They don't fully know all the mechanics and how to fully use their weapons. same were seen in world and in rise. But you can't look at it as a vet to see those things. I have seen plenty of wipes against even low star monsters like chatacabra and balahara. Just look at sos quest that are 10+ minutes old. To me regarding difficulty all the games are easy aside a few fights in Frontier Z. (level 9999 white fatalis solo quest for example)

Dude, i LITERALLY have not made it to fatalis, i haven't even gotten to successfully fight Gold and silver raths yet in world. I am NOT a good MHVet player. And i never said without tools, i said WITH the tools at your disposal. You have openly revealed that you don't actually pay attention to tutorials (don't worry, i get it).

I do not struggle in this game, i have stuggled in every game. Yes, MH has gotten easier over time thanks to QOL changes. however, this game is still WAAAAAY to easy.

generations ultimate was not on psp mate.
Wrong system there or wrong game. I have been playing since MH1 and have played everygame except the phone ones, online, and the 3ds and wii u ones. Even the japan exclusive ones. And really you should go try Frontier Z and you won't see any of the games as hard even a little bit.

I was not or never did say the game wasn't easy for me. I said looking at it from the perspective of a NEW PLAYER. Something you don't seem to be able to do. You have to put your knowledge of the games systems aside. A new player is not going to know any of the move sets or know how the monsters will react, they won't know which monsters need what resistances before fighting them. They won't know which skills are good and which are useless. They won't know there weapons movesets fully or how to utilize them the best.

You aren't understanding the nuance, there's a difference between a mechanics floor and mechanics ceiling. If you assume the skill floor is picking up a weapon and just using basic attacks till the monster dies or it kills you then sure all monster hunters are the same in that silly argument to want to be right. In reality the skill/mechanic learning ceiling is higher in newer games even if you don't partake in each and every system, even if you just take little bit from one or two as you learn the game are you gonna sit there and tell me Wilds doesn't have more mechanics to help a new player? More weapon abilities changes to offer more skill value?

Another thing I've noticed, people didn't understand capturing in world, in Wild I've ran into like 1(?) capture quest.

Oh, the game tells them about the wounds? YES. But does it tell them how to make them easier? Or how to get them more often?

No. That, you have to figure out yourself through two points: First, through your own skill in damaging the same spot over and over again. And second, through the "skill" system via the (and I’m not sure of the correct English term) “gems”?

If you don’t know how to use them or how to effectively raise their level by using more of the same gem—because in the system, it still looks like level one—you have to switch the view to see it actually raises the level.

If you don’t find this out, you’re gonna get hurt. At least by Gore.

They LITTERALLY SAY "if you attack a monster in the same spot, wounds will pop up" LIKE OMG. Go into your Player guide in MHWilds menu and actually READ those ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ tutorials (all of which are the same ones that pop up). If you did, you would A. know how to farm Decos effectively which, in this game, Is stupid simple, B, know how to Make wounds effecively, C, know how to actually play the game.

I did, and true, it really says to attack the same point again and again. BUT it doesn’t tell you about the rising skill level by using, for example, multiple level ones.

And the third point is exactly that... you... need... to learn.

And to learn means to be forgiven for mistakes. If every time you make a mistake, you get killed, you don’t have fun. That’s why healing potions and such exist.

If forgiveness weren’t an option in Monster Hunter, then you wouldn’t need items to heal. But they’re there to forgive you and every player for the mistakes they make, so they can learn.

yea theres only 1 in wilds. A lot of people did understand capturing in world though, it was literally the best option because of the boosted materials.

If you say a lot of people understood capturing as I've seen so many quests fail or people ignore the trap on the ground to keep damaging the monster to not get rarer materials then we are at a weird point. Understanding the capture mechanic would mean new players do engage in the game mechanics and having more and better mechanics available to be use would make Wilds an easier game would you not agree?

The world thing i was wrong about, ignore it. In MHWilds, capture is ALMOST better than slaying due to the fact the rewards aren't locked behind slay and cap. however, you can give a food skill that gives you 3 Additional Carves, which makes it actually DETRAMENTAL to cap a monster.

only in worlds, you couldn't get gems and plates and mantles without carving though in iceborne. .

This is untrue, mantles and gems have a percentage chance on capture in iceborne. Dont spread misinformation.

I'm not, i was talking about how the person was saying i was a Fatalis god 999mr hunter.

And G rank is Harder than HR, it's a fact....but HR has ALWAYS been hard and i think people don't realize this because they have retro actively lowered Monster HP in Low/high rank in base MHWorld and other things when iceborne was released. HR in MH4U was the same HR in MH4, same with Gen and Gen U. The only time this WASN'T the case was MH3U where they reduced the Monster's HP by 50% in base game (you could kill village a great jaggie in 30secs with the starting GS when it use to take at LEAST a minute in both Tri and portable 3rd)

Monster hunter use to be Hard, I even thought rise, despite being easier then world, was still hard. Not this game, never this game.

only in worlds, you couldn't get gems and plates and mantles without carving though in iceborne. true, investigations helped but you as Quest bonus rewards (caps DON'T influence these) but if you wanted a mantle you slayed. In MHWilds, capture is ALMOST better than slaying due to the fact the rewards aren't locked behind slay and cap. however, you can give a food skill that gives you 3 Additional Carves, which makes it actually DETRAMENTAL to cap a monster.
