Its not easier than other Monster Hunter Games
I said it—I don’t think it’s easier than other Monster Hunter titles. It’s more accessible, yes. It has a lot (maybe too much) of QoL improvements compared to the previous games. BUT it’s not per se easier. Yes, wounding and breaking take huge chunks out of the monster’s HP pool, BUT the monsters aren’t easier. Rathalos can still wipe you out without much trouble.

So why do we think it’s easier? Because we got better.

I started an all-new playthrough in World (without Guardian armor) two weeks before Wilds just to get back into the franchise. And you know what? I didn’t have any problems. I rushed through until the first real wall: Anjanath. That thing made me rage quit four or five times on my first playthrough before I finally beat it. And now? I was chuckling while hammering that b**** back into extinction.

Did I gear up? Nope. Did I farm extensively like in my first playthrough? No. I just got better at the game.

And I promise you—go back to your harder versions and start a fresh playthrough (without Guardian armor or any crutches), and I guarantee it’ll be easier. Maybe much easier than you remember.

And that just proves—you got better.

And that makes me happy. I have real, provable skill in a game I love. And that feels great. Really, really great.

Thanks for the Fistbumb at least one thats gets it XD
yeah, they design the games like it's always someone's first Monster Hunter title. It only makes sense that players outpace the games before G rank/master rank.

I had as easy of a time in 3u as I am now, and had on world the very first time.

Its good that the games are easy enough for new players because other people deserve the chance to play their first monster hunter.

I think it's within 10-20% of the difficulty of p3rd, base generations, base world and base rise, and guess what, these are all high rank only titles. Of course 3rd and genertions would be quite harder solo because the high rank portion only has multiplayer scaling, so hunts could be 20 minutes or longer. And events or special monsters like arc tempered would make those titles harder, but still easier than any G rank endgame in my experience.

Yea people don't need to spend their lives grinding away anymore, accessibility is a good thing and good direction to move in

Yes, it’s more accessible—you don’t need to grind for 20 minutes just to gather enough materials to make a potion. That’s accessibility.

What matters most is still the hunt. And that part is more accessible now that you don’t have to worry about supplies. You can go gather if you want to, but you don’t need to—at least not until high rank. My first Gore fights forced me to go back and replenish my stock of potions, though.

I didn't triple cart (fail quest) once during my low rank in world, can't even remember where my first fail was, probably events or title updates, since I carted in my first time at least once to all 4 elders (nergigante, teostra, vaal, kushala), but still beat them first try, and I don't say this with the intention of bragging, I had hundreds or maybe even more than a thousand hours of experience with the franchise up to that point, I think everyone that completed every content in this game and went back to play world and rise low/high rank portion with normal crafted gear, wouldn't struggle too.

Yes, exactly! That’s the point.

I mean, I’m a new-generation hunter—my first Monster Hunter was World, and it beat the ♥♥♥♥ out of me. I could hide behind a wall of my dead hunters that Nergigante killed.

But now? It’s just a fight I have to be careful with, not an impossible wall anymore.

I can’t compare it to the older games. Rise didn’t really grab me, so I didn’t play it—though I did buy it.
Your whole rant falls apart when people who never played MH before still say its way too easy.

MHWorld's Current low/high rank is completely busted balance wise thanks to the introduction of the Clagger and all the improvements to your weapons and with iceborn you have the clutch claw which is INCREADIBLY over powered for low/high rank. MHWorld base was still harder than this game.

This, it is all about what game you started with. Started with wilds? Its gonna be hard. Started with World? it was hard. Started with Rise? It was hard. Started on MH1 on the ps2? Then you probably won't find many things in any of the games hard. Now however if you started in world or rise or wilds and you went back and played the originals you would still find them harder because you would still have to learn all the jank that the new games mostly lack.

So difficulty kinda goes like whatever game you started with will be what you consider the hardest, unless you started on a newer game you could still find the old ones hard from the jank, but if you started on the older ones these are really easy because very little jank, and jank is what taught us positioning and stuff (Plesioth MH1 is the worst and will always be the worst lol)

Ohh, you have no idea how true that is.

I always longed to play this franchise, BUT I either didn’t have the right console or found it way too challenging to spend my precious pocket money on. But then World came along—it finally looked like something a guy like me, with two left hands, could actually play.

And I could.

And I hated every ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ second of it—because of Anjanath…

But deep down? I loved it.

And it makes me really, really happy to think about some new players going on their very first hunt—only to get pile-driven by a Gore Magala.

Ahhhhhhh, I love it. :3

I've seen plenty of new players tripple cart to chatacbra. I have seen so many tripple cart to Gore I gave up joining sos flare quest before him because never once was there not a tripple cart in all the times I tried, even with me using luring pods to make it focus on me.
Isaac Mar 9 @ 3:20pm
did you actually use the rathalos as an example of a difficult monster?
says alot more about you than the game.

So it would be even easier then, since I did my playthrough in 2018.
