Are 9-12 minutes hunting times for endgame stuff good right now ?
Lets say even when everyone is crying its very easy I have to say I found stuff like Tempered Gore Magala strength 5 and Tempered Arkveld strength 5 alot harder than World and Rise base game and I am now new to the series.

With Wilds I needed to change main weapon because they turned insect glaive utterly clunky weird with wilds.

So I am testing some weapons and while getting hit kinda often my hunting times are around 9-12 minutes, is this decent for the endgame fights right now ? because I see people talk alot about 5 minutes and stuff like that but I kinda can't see myself getting that low even when playing already very good

It's a PvE game. If you took 40 minutes for every hunt, that's still fine, as long as you're having fun. The only people that care about optimizing the time of their hunts are sweaty as hell
Speedrun setups can easily do 2-3min runs. Just like any MH before.
9-12mins is great for 80% of the playerbase and I actually advise not speedrunning.
I am fairly certain this is a troll post.

the 5 minute times are normally for the easier monsters, for the apex's and gore, 8-12 is around the norm i've been getting and seeing.

No, aim for 3-4 minutes. 9-12 is unnecessary long
yes, though, if this was in Base world (no iceborne patch) , iceborne, and rise/sunbreak the harder monsters would take from 15 to 20 minutes to kill.
Try 8 stars Magala :Emil:

I'm saying this as someone who can get shorter like 6 or 5 min times on the horn in most of the harder fights (the really high hp ones take me like 8 mins if i'm going hard).

The people who are saying they are hunting that fast are either cheesing it with something dumb OR they've been playing the games for so long they should know better than complain.

So basically everyone you're hearing saying that are setting up ideal cheese fights and cherry picking their results because anyone who is actually that fast off of raw skill won't generally be complaining.

The secret third option is people are just trolling

yeah actual speedrunning is kind of a pain because your builds tend to be made for no mistakes and you need to keep restarting fights

9-12 minutes down from 10-15 minutes standard for a lot of World hunts. Though as World and Rise got harder and harder difficulties and monsters those times climbed up to 15-20 minutes or even longer, so expect similar times as more content is added to end game hunts down the line.

Most of my runs are 4-6 minutes, including Gore. However I have been a MH player for a long as time, so I don't expect others to be doing what I do. I actually enjoy Gore a lot because he seems to give people a hard time, so I have been doing SoS to help people and see if we can kill him before someone carts. 12 Insta fails so far from all 3 of the others dying at the same time to the same move. It is really really funny.
anything more than 15 and you need better gear or better skills pmuch

This is just false, you can do a Clutch Claw only Master Rank Fatalis run in 15 minutes.
2minutes 32 second run for an Altreon Bow run.
World base Rathalos quickest run was 3 minutes 12 seconds before Defender gear existed.
World got insanely easy with Clutch Claw.

I would say 10-15 is normal for most fights, you have to play very well to get 5 minute kills. and If you play perfectly though you can do fights in like 3 minutes.

"This is just false, look at what speedrunners do:"

Shut up lmfao

10-15 minutes was pretty standard timings in harder rank content in World I literally do not care what you have to say or what fringe data you're going to pull from to try to win an argument on the steam forums, I am correct, you will be silent.

It's a gear thing. On longer hunts I check peoples gear, just because im curious, and, while I don't really know all the in's and out's of MH, I like to think I have a couple viable sets to run, but most importantly, my deco usage I like to think compliments my builds, however, comparatively to some of the gear and deco setups I see people running right now in pubs, yea, it does make sense for the longer kill times.

I see a lot of people either, without set bonuses, or, just all over the place with their skills, and not capping the important damage skills, or simply not even running damage skills, or, in some cases, not even running decos. And keep in mind these are HR 50-100 people I am talking about..
