Is there any visual difference between regular arkveld and guardian one?

i don't think so? i know tempered is entirely a metallic black like the arch tempered monsters in World. but I don't recall G. Arkveld looking any different

Guardian Arkveld only appears in the LR story. There is a difference between the armor sets, but I have no clue if the actual monsters are any different aside from HR Arkveld having new attacks.

I'm pretty sure there's a bit of a visual difference between the two. From what I can remember Guardian Arkveld has these purple, uncontrolled veiny streaks of energy strewn across its body; Arkveld has some purple streaks of energy too, but they're much more structured and limited to its chainblades iirc

only difference is arkveld glows red when its enraged. otherwise its 1:1 same creature.

Guardian Arkveld had streaks of glowing light on some parts which resemble the ones seen on other guardian variants of monsters. It is pretty difficult to see because Arkveld is already pale and you fight in an arena that is being illuminated entirely by the origin of those earlier mentioned streaks of glowing light. It becomes more pronounced during certain attacks.

I think the front claws are where it is most visible, followed by its wings and mane areas.
