World had massive performance issues for the full first month of release on Steam. Everywhere you went, people were spreading rumors about which ports you had to open for online play to work, people were getting insta-kicked for joining with Thunder element weapons, etc
it's not that serious
I am flattered that you're so obsessed with me that you recognize me from thread to thread, though. it's really cute. wanna make out about it
Maybe if they're you're first MH game, but the hardest part about World was getting used to not having to wait at zone borders.
pre-World had so many weird little quirks, most of which I do not miss at all
I've been trying to tell people this.. when World launched everyone ♥♥♥♥ on it.
Oh it's too easy, oh there's so many issues, there's barely any content, the story sucks!
Rise came out and it was the same thing. Oh it's too easy, there's no content, the story sucks!!!!
Here we are with Wilds and guess what people are saying? Huh. That's.. weird. Deja vu, I guess.
But i also wasnt here when It launched on Pc. Still, interesting.
To be fair, the older generation of gamers complain that games ARENT fully finished and still sold.
Where does that line get drawn for Monster Hunter?
BASE GAME Wilds vs. Base Worlds has WAYYYY less content to the point where it feels... half-assed. Especially entering HR.
The game is FUN but it is lacking severely.
It's not THAT different.
Ironically, I think it will be the casuals who'll be the first to move on --the very demographic Capcom cosset with Wilds' design -- while die-hards will linger, as they delude themselves using mods and hacks to try and futilely eke out something approaching a "Monster Hunter experience" from what is there to work with.
The misguided focus on graphics instead of gameplay means most of the stuff that makes games fun get cut to make games more graphically complex, which makes it harder for people to run them, and reduces the amount of actual content
All it takes is walking around the hubs of World and Rise to start seeing the amount of detail they cut for the sake of ♥♥♥♥♥♥ graphical "upgrades" that require garbage AI upscaling for the average user to even be able to notice
The moment the gaming industry collectively comes to term with the fact that that video games are meant to be fun, not cinematic, will be when things finally start improving and content stops being cut for no reason
1, this is because Worlds, on PC launch was POORLY ported and took time to make the game good again.
2. in BASE World (before the Iceborne update) the difficulty at end game was so high that player would forgo Attack buffs for defense buffs and Hp buffs. This isn't a joke, this is true.
3. i have struggled to play through EVERY ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ HR in every MH game sense Tri (except MH3U sense Monsters dropped like flies due to their hp being dropped to Half then what they should have been)
MHWild, i did not struggle on any monster, not even tempered.
Game's OBJECTIVELY easy, and to say that HR isn't challanging either proves You're too high in the skill ceiling to see the floor. MH games are KNOWN for the difficulty, and to say that they aren't is stupid.
