This game is going to die faster than any monster hunter game before
I beat the highest level tempered monster that exists in this game and i did it by myself without upgrading my equipment. This game is so easy you don't need to upgrade anything or learn how anything works to beat all of the monsters. This removes the point of grinding to upgrade and needing to learn combat, which is the entire point of a monster hunter game. This game is very well made and very fun, but people are going to bounce off of it faster than any monster game before. I really hope they add more challenging content. I understand making the main campaign easy and accessible for new players, but the lack of challenge in in the end-game is just a design mistake.

On day 1.
Now there are over 100k reviews, which is going to need a lot more to move the score when compared to launch
my dumbass in christ, we are only on day 10. i don't think the gap between 1 day and 10 days is as big as you think it is

World had massive performance issues for the full first month of release on Steam. Everywhere you went, people were spreading rumors about which ports you had to open for online play to work, people were getting insta-kicked for joining with Thunder element weapons, etc

it's not that serious

You're exceptionally bad at reading tone lil buddy

Yeah, I don't think so.

That irrelevant meme above, jumping straight to insults and the fact that you're focusing on complaint threads despite claiming you don't care about them is very telling.

Game is very badly optimised, however, I'm not saying this to trigger you btw.
My post history is publicly available dude, you can pretty easily fact-check yourself and see that I'm replying to every type of thread

I am flattered that you're so obsessed with me that you recognize me from thread to thread, though. it's really cute. wanna make out about it

Unfinished slop. Maybe the launch numbers were good but now they have a mixed review score to deal with for a very long time. Less people will be inclined to buy a mixed game, me included.
me when I'm in a Bad Memory Competition and my opponent is Steam User Mythily: O~O;

Wow i've never seen that post before. Interesting, pretty much the same comments i've seen here...history repeats itself

I mean. Okay? We're still in base game. There are a whole TWO event quests, so far. It's not like World launched with arch tempered Xeno, it came almost a full year after.

Gotta love the iPad generation getting upset about the lack of instant gratification. Game has been out for less than two weeks lol
The game is considerably easier than Worlds or Rise were at launch.
lol no they were not.

Maybe if they're you're first MH game, but the hardest part about World was getting used to not having to wait at zone borders.

remember speedrunners dropping a small bomb barrel, buffing, and the barrel exploding them through the zone border to save the 0.3 seconds it takes for the buff animation to finish. lol

pre-World had so many weird little quirks, most of which I do not miss at all

I've been trying to tell people this.. when World launched everyone ♥♥♥♥ on it.

Oh it's too easy, oh there's so many issues, there's barely any content, the story sucks!

Rise came out and it was the same thing. Oh it's too easy, there's no content, the story sucks!!!!

Here we are with Wilds and guess what people are saying? Huh. That's.. weird. Deja vu, I guess.

fake gamers being ragebaby snowflakes every time a popular game releases is one of the most reliable universal constants on the planet. 100 years from now it'll be in sociology textbooks

From what i've seen most of them were mostly optimization issues and connectivity...and some usual weird japanese game design choices. Havent seen a single one stating game is easy.
But i also wasnt here when It launched on Pc. Still, interesting.

I am playing MH for the gameplay loop.

"Difficulty" is one of many reasons to keep the gameplay interesting.

To be fair, the older generation of gamers complain that games ARENT fully finished and still sold.
Where does that line get drawn for Monster Hunter?
BASE GAME Wilds vs. Base Worlds has WAYYYY less content to the point where it feels... half-assed. Especially entering HR.

The game is FUN but it is lacking severely.

this game just came out one week ago. of course they're going to add more content, and it's probably going to be more challenging than what we currently have.
It's already been mentioned on all the gaming sites that Capcom is going to add in harder monsters and such.

I think base game Worlds had one, maybe two more monsters?

It's not THAT different.
Shoah Kahn 9 MAR a las 13:40
With 8,000,000 units moved in half a week, the game will brute force itself into 24 months of active life; especially if a big expansion changes things up in a year or so's time. However, for what's there now, it won't hold peoples' interest for long...

Ironically, I think it will be the casuals who'll be the first to move on --the very demographic Capcom cosset with Wilds' design -- while die-hards will linger, as they delude themselves using mods and hacks to try and futilely eke out something approaching a "Monster Hunter experience" from what is there to work with.

this is a problem with the AAA market as a whole. Almost every game released in the last 5 years has had the same problem

The misguided focus on graphics instead of gameplay means most of the stuff that makes games fun get cut to make games more graphically complex, which makes it harder for people to run them, and reduces the amount of actual content

All it takes is walking around the hubs of World and Rise to start seeing the amount of detail they cut for the sake of ♥♥♥♥♥♥ graphical "upgrades" that require garbage AI upscaling for the average user to even be able to notice

The moment the gaming industry collectively comes to term with the fact that that video games are meant to be fun, not cinematic, will be when things finally start improving and content stops being cut for no reason

I love that helldivers does both...cinematic Michael Bay explosions mid gameplay lol

1, this is because Worlds, on PC launch was POORLY ported and took time to make the game good again.

2. in BASE World (before the Iceborne update) the difficulty at end game was so high that player would forgo Attack buffs for defense buffs and Hp buffs. This isn't a joke, this is true.

3. i have struggled to play through EVERY ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ HR in every MH game sense Tri (except MH3U sense Monsters dropped like flies due to their hp being dropped to Half then what they should have been)

MHWild, i did not struggle on any monster, not even tempered.

Game's OBJECTIVELY easy, and to say that HR isn't challanging either proves You're too high in the skill ceiling to see the floor. MH games are KNOWN for the difficulty, and to say that they aren't is stupid.
