Monster Hunter Wilds

Monster Hunter Wilds

データを表示:
Fatal D3D error (25, DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG, 0x887a0006)
So, I'm about to stop playing at this point. It keeps happening, completely random, temps and utilizations in HWinfo are normal. Drivers up do date, also windows. I gave admin rights to the game and steam. There is literally no way for me to track what the actual problem is.

Could someone help me if I share a Dxdiag maybe?

Well, I see two issues which might be related: lack of free space on C: and memory leak here and there.
Thank you, I'll try to free some space on C then, though MH Wilds is installed on D.
As for memory leaks, you mean Ram or Vram? Any clue on how to fix that ?

tip #7 here works splendidly against memory leak
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3436896664
combine it with tip #2

though it is no guarantee that it fixes your issue. I would still try using DDU (tip #1) if you have not done that for a proper reinstall of the graphics card. Something is still odd with it, and the tuning down not helping is worrisome.

I persist with same issue but will try some of these

I wish you good luck. I am still highly irritated why it is so easy for Nvidia card to activate debug mode, but I cannot find it that easy with AMD cards... For Nvidia it is just a simple checkmark in the control panel - but where is it for AMD...?
Are you on 25.3.1 drivers? Downgrading to 25.2.1 seems to have helped so far for me.
So now I have had 2 new crashes with a different message : fatal D3D error (40, DXGI_error_access_denied,0x887a002b)

Tried both and no luck
same boat again for me too. 6800XT. 25.3.1 got the same crash once on the game. and got a driver crash forcing me to reset my PC about 3 times today. Tried it all, wasting 15 minutes of shader compiling every time. lowered the Mhz didnt work, made performance even worse (obviously) disabled rivatuner monitoring, didnt work, deleted armoury crate, didnt work. set TDR timeout to 30 seconds instead of base 2 seconds, didnt work. Installed REFramework for performance gains. Didnt work.

how can a game be so badly coded that it causes GPU driver crashes and system failures. over the past 2.5 years of owning this PC and dozens of games from indie to AAA titles, not a single one had caused a single driver crash, while this game throws them around like its nothing, and not a word from crapcom either.

I also own my pc since 3 years and the only ones that made me crash like this were Diablo 4 and now Mh Wilds.

I played for ~2hours straight before a new error
Fatal D3D Error (22, DXGI_ERROR_INVALID_CALL, 0x887A0001)

Dxdiag
https://pastebin.com/qXw5mCcz

anything you can glean?

A common trigger for me to crash with d3d errors is to talk to gemma and start looking at different weapons. I will say maybe three out of five times. However overall crashing has improved to 1-2 hours of playtime by reducing textures and switching to AMD FSR3 for whatever reason.

Aside from some memory leak, I cannot see anything unusual. Since you are on Nvidia, try running the GPU in debug mode.

Before that, delete the shader cache / do the game update routine - tip #16 here - if you have not done that today.

Thank you for introducing me to debug mode. I have never had an issue with this gpu such as this until now.

Running my gpu which is a stock oc variant of the nvidia 4070ti super in “debug mode” from the nvidia control panel puts it at stock normal settings and seems to fix the problem fwiw
Jusst kidding...crashed again. Talking to gemma. My one great constant. This time no error of any kind or d3d message just straight to desktop.

My config:

6950xt
i5 13600k
32gb ram ddr4 3600hz
Sata SSD

Already tried lowering clocks (to those indicated on my graphics card website), didn't help.
I asked about Dxdiag as I've seen people asking for it when trying to solve problems.

Yeah. I prefer seeing a DxDiag instead of what you just wrote. A DxDiag is more reliable and tells much more.

Try lowering the clock more, or better, run the GPU in debug mode.

Also, this error message is posted by many Nvidia users too

Right here. I’m using the latest Nvidia driver and like op I have tried every fix I could find online. Temps are normal, latest update, lowest setting, doesn’t matter. I don’t know what to do and I’m about to give up too.
I was plagued by this crashing since launch and like many others tried a combination of all the fixes already suggested and what worked for me is underclocking my gpu. I was sceptical but gave it a try and haven't had a crash since and could turn all other options back on up to max, frame gen, ddls 4, highest res textures, mods with reframework etc.
Running on i9 12900, rtx4090.
Underclocked using MSI after burner, first had core clock set to -200MHz and memory clock at +0MHz and this was running all good. I have since changed it to -100MHz underclock and it is also running stable for last 2 days.
