if you do not like gameplay for the sake of gameplay, it may not be for you.
the only other thing to do is collect materials for items, functionally
this game is good both single player and multiplayer
There are side quests like a bit of exploration, a bit of fishing, a bit of search for rare animals.
Nothing else.
Unless you like to do screenshots or catch small critters as well.
I miss egg delivery quests and hunting for canteen ingredients (I mean technically you still can, but it doesn't hit the same).
I hope they bring photography quests back, there's some pretty awesome stuff I've found already that would be extremely hard to encounter naturally unless you are taking in the scenery very slowly like I do.
