Monster Hunter Wilds

Monster Hunter Wilds

I recommend you try Wild hearts for 10$ if you are disappointed by how easy Wilds is like me.
Wild hearts is the only game in its series.
The level of difficulty in the game is comparable to something like High rank in regular monster hunter and Master rank in Ice-borne when you get to this games high rank.
It had horrible optimization art louche probably worse than Widls.
And because it was a new IP not an established franchise like MH this killed the game.
Currently the games optimization is better (Still bad but its playable arguably slightly better than Wilds.)

The bundle is 10$ and has other cool games in it worth the price.

Id argue the game is better than even Rise and while i do like World more this game defiantly does some thing better than world.

To me the karacuri constructs felt more like a complex mechanic rather than just building a Square wall. As remembering build combos and using them mid combat required actual practice and skill.
Yeah no, I dont want fortnite x mh XD

ye it was definitely interesting but endgame really baffled me. game has lot of content but endgame falls short. so if u expecting better endgame then wilds ur gonna get disappointed lmao

Maybe when it originally came out.
They added a lot of stuff to the endgame in TU.
And at the end of the day at lest the game is fun and challenging for many fights.
Not only does Wilds not have an endgame it has no challenge in its mid game as well.
while i wouldn't make abstract statements like "better than rise" or "better than wilds", i do think that wild hearts is cool and it's a shame that it didn't get the love it deserved.

wilds hearts does controls better than monster hunter (imo) - no fumbling for an hour in settings. it also leans more into spectacle when it comes to attack animations - weapons feel a lot more impactful when compared to mh games.
the "fortnite" construction mechanic can be entirely ignored, but i think it shouldn't be - it is suprisingly robust and adds a new layer of "prep work" to fighting monsters and traversing maps.
the game does occasionally stutter for me (even after all the patches), but only when it loads new areas, which happens rarely after completing tutorial.

The game compiles shaders while playing it does not prebake them like Wilds does.
So the stutters are gone over time. By the time you reach High rank most of the low rank fights will have baked all the shaders.

that was my assumption also.
Wild Hearts was fun and had some interesting ideas, and I'd have liked to see what could have happened had EA given it a chance. Building stuff on the map was cool and made it fun to explore the maps. Creating gadgets for attack and defence mid-fight was a neat idea. I thought the weapon crafting tree and transferring buffs between weapons as you upgraded or sidegraded worked well.

I didn't like their approach to food preparation and buffs (and I don't really like what Wilds does either), and most of the armour skills felt like they did so little I just ignored them and went for best defence/elemental resistance. Most annoying for me was that there were quite a lot of cheap feeling monster attacks with FromSoft levels of tracking, so the combats felt very different to Monster Hunter - it's more about precise dodge timing for i-frames/perfect parrying than positioning. In some cases you had to quickly build a karakuri structure to counter an attack, which was frustrating if you weren't standing at the perfect angle to get the parts to combine properly and got hit.

If you like Monster Hunter I'd definitely say give it a try when you can pick it up on sale.

Thatss traversal stutter. Wilds doe snot have that, infact, wilds doesnt stutter because of that if it does stutter for you.

Just checked my Humble subscription for the game and
Platform: Origin
Yeah uhh, I can guess another reason why the game died, lmao.

I never understood platform cultism.

How abouit the bazillion apps that you need to install?

We only need big market places as apps such as steam and egs for competition. We dont need independad AAA apps.
For that price it's a decent enough game, but I don't think they ever fixed all the issues it had. I ended up dropping it before finishing the story because while it was Monster Hunter enough, and had some cool ideas, the construction mechanic is actually pretty solid, it just made me want to go back to World lol
