They added a lot of stuff to the endgame in TU.
And at the end of the day at lest the game is fun and challenging for many fights.
Not only does Wilds not have an endgame it has no challenge in its mid game as well.
wilds hearts does controls better than monster hunter (imo) - no fumbling for an hour in settings. it also leans more into spectacle when it comes to attack animations - weapons feel a lot more impactful when compared to mh games.
the "fortnite" construction mechanic can be entirely ignored, but i think it shouldn't be - it is suprisingly robust and adds a new layer of "prep work" to fighting monsters and traversing maps.
the game does occasionally stutter for me (even after all the patches), but only when it loads new areas, which happens rarely after completing tutorial.
So the stutters are gone over time. By the time you reach High rank most of the low rank fights will have baked all the shaders.
I didn't like their approach to food preparation and buffs (and I don't really like what Wilds does either), and most of the armour skills felt like they did so little I just ignored them and went for best defence/elemental resistance. Most annoying for me was that there were quite a lot of cheap feeling monster attacks with FromSoft levels of tracking, so the combats felt very different to Monster Hunter - it's more about precise dodge timing for i-frames/perfect parrying than positioning. In some cases you had to quickly build a karakuri structure to counter an attack, which was frustrating if you weren't standing at the perfect angle to get the parts to combine properly and got hit.
If you like Monster Hunter I'd definitely say give it a try when you can pick it up on sale.
We only need big market places as apps such as steam and egs for competition. We dont need independad AAA apps.
