Just clowns supporting clowns now. Madness.

Btw, if you are not into this, that is fine, however these are without question relevant because these builds are catered around trying to defeat the monster as quickly as possible.
Monster Hunter Wilds had an entire guide with meta builds that players would do their own off builds with, or use it as a gauge for building.
Wilds, just like World is a game where you can spend a lot of time farming and obtaining resources, and these builds can help mitigate those costs by having players focusing on these effective builds.
Again, for the general player who plays what they want, do that, however to deem these builds irrelevant is complete nonsense. Play how you want, but some people enjoy Meta Builds, or knowing what's the best at killing things the fastest, which these types of tier list can bring.
Basing an entire list around just DPS is inappropriate in my view, the HH also brings exceptional utility and buffs that can make alot of fights completely trivial, again regardless of the damage it does. If the whole party: Can't die, has max earplugs, and Attack XL, who cares what damage it does the other 3 are destroying that monster.
I finished the game without touching any other weapon, had no mission fail, the game is easy. Afterwards i tried other weapons. the difference in dmg and ease of use is huge. My hunts with gunlance and gs is half the time, and they are pretty much facerolls, while hh was quite an effort. And I never really played with either of them, while I also soloed world with hh as well.
Monster health and aggressiveness cannot be balanced around 12 of the weapons without making hammer and hh hunts take 20 minute snorefests.
It is not just time, game is built around the "faster you beat Monsters easier it gets" concept. Not only you dont need to take risks for 20 mins instead of 10 but also, especially with wounds, you get alot more flinches, knockdowns and punishable windows the more dmg you deal.
Currently I had alot of fun with hh, tbh rest of the weapons are just too straight forward especially with focus mode making positioning and commitment to attacks trivial, gs gl cb just feels like spamming, with crazy guards and offsets to cover up any mistakes you make. I will keep with hh but once monster's get reasonable hp increase, hh won't be able to keep up without straight forward dmg buff.
it does though?
Does it really count for all content?
Plus, as I remember it, this test is based on Arkveld.
A monster which doesn't take element damage on their weakest weak spot.
But as HH main I'm pretty satisfied with what they've done. It's big fun to play, and way more stronger in multiplayer game (not only because its buffs but its ability to knock down, and way more chances to burst damage than solo playing).
At least we have bust damage for dps now. We don't even have this in previous MHs!!
Even if I keep attack with focus mode on I still cannot get all 3 bulbs, but aiming the insect thing with controller feels kinda bad when the monster keeps moving AND the location is super high up
I doubt whether it is actually S tier
