Game Crashing on Launch

Hello, I bought the game and i downloaded it and set up the shaders then the game would crash showing "wine c++ runtime library assertion failed". i tried different versions of proton but still the same issues, until it just stopped even launching the game from my library just saying that something went wrong. how can i fix this? for a 70 dollar game i don't find this acceptable

You bought a game, not a fix for your bad PC. It even told you what you should fix.

amd ryzen 7000 series and Geforce RTX 4070, i dont think my pc is the issue. this is a common issue that ive seen on other forums. do you maybe have a suggestion for me on how to fix this? i was very much looking forward to playing this game

Best you consult a Linux forums and look for the keywords how to ensure that your proton is having the correct distributables for Wine. The game officially does not support Linux, so it is not the game's fault.

No. It is not. Obviously Windows user can fix it easily. So either you can do on Linux or not - consult or Linux forums.

dude whats your deal? im just trying to get help so i can play a game i was excited for. yes it was an issue for some windows users as well and I am looking else where as well.

i have already updated all drivers, verified the game files, and tried different versions of proton. Im not sure what else to do

As a windows user with higher than rec specs and having followed every guide and personal troubleshooting stepsal and still can't play due to a crash at start up

i got it to open and run but still have issues with graphical bugs and it still freezes sometimes while playing. i triple checked that i updated everything, made sure to specify what gpu to use, i added a launch option specific for my system, and i played around with the graphics settings. I also used Proton GE
depending on what OS you are using and what your system specs are it might be a different problem for you. id be happy to include more details on what i did if you want. im using a linux system

yes, please, I m using ubuntu 22.04and rtx 4060, with driver 550, and not really sure what should do to make this working.
If you have some tips or set up can help, please let me know, really really thanks !

Its not your fault, i have it today the same problem. All time crashes , i would ,you wait a while then try again.

Keep crashing trying to do missions after 70 hours of no issues. Patch borked something.

Edit: AMD Adrenalin had chipset drivers and an update, now the game is compiling shaders and its taking quite a long time just like when i first launched it. Good chance this fixes it for me perhaps?
