I just want to post about this so maybe more people will see this. Capturing at the end of a hunt is actively bad. Capturing gives you a little extra rewards on the surface but when you actually look deeper into it, its horrible. If you don't capture you get more rewards for breaking more wounds and the biggest offense of capturing is that THE GAME DOES NOT COUNT CAPTURE AS KILLS! what I mean by that is on your hunter profile the game does not count a captured monster towards your completion on getting the monster specific titles. On top of that it also means and I have confirmed it but if you capture a monster, the achievements that are tied to killing monsters make ZERO progress. Capturing in Monster Hunter Wilds actively hurts completion of the game and in the long run you get less materials.

Apex Monsters? Stop right here... but if you haven't played MH4U nor MHR then that term means something rather specific that doesn't apply to this game. I'm inclined to say the 4U version is canon and that the Rise "Apex" are just Deviants by another name... but both are sort of canon.
In any case... I've checked the descriptions of both the Tempered Monsters and the "apex predator" (note word "predator" there denoting it nothing to do with Apex Monsters in proper case), and both of them specifically say "HUNT", not "SLAY".... so capturing counts.
And I HAVE some of those titles you claim I can't have.

But i can understand there are people that actualkly want a cretain part they get from capturing that they try to capture the beasty ,,,, but should it be a thing in a FIgting game ,,, i dunno,,, i find it boring ,,,,,,


It's more like fishing then playing a game that trap system.,... but sure if you get a certain part from it on the ending screen go ahead and capture it !!

No need to get so aggressive my guy. I thought that too. Until the game didn't give me my title when I killed + captured 20 Rey Dau. I had to kill 20 before the game gave it to me. It is simply fact. I do not know what to tell you

Can't really argue with that.... I mean besides that I have the opposite opinion and killing monsters feels mindless to me. But simply having a preference is fine.

True true. Rarely you can get a group together that utterly wails on the monster and brings it down FAST... but most of the time a team of 4 randoms tends to be slower than just soloing the monster.

just like you said, its pugs, situations can change, aggro can change, its not guaranteed all 4 players going to keep dps %100 uptime. its also more risky since 4 players sharing 4 carts instead of 1 guy has 4 carts. not only that but rewards also shared and decrease,

meanwhile you cant enforce nothing but player rank for SOS, its lottery, simply gambling at this point. in a perfect world, we should be able to set at least min gear rarity to be able to join, but i guess thats too much to ask.

The number on the left isn't your kill count. The number on the left is your TOTAL kills AND captures.

Now I see what I was confused with, but where do I see that I need 50 kills for a title?

Correct in captures not counting as "kills". But captures still count as "hunts" for titles.

The main difference between killing and capture is the time spent and materials earned.

Materials mean little in the long run. Sooner or later you will get everything you want from a monster even stockpiling gems. So that's not really much of a perk between kill/capture. But the time spent certainly is! 20% faster hunts means 20% faster progress towards titles, materials, grinding, and more or less everything. If capturing is an option, you should always go for it if your goal is literally anything other than simply playing the game and fighting monsters.
