"lemao, this game is WAY too easy"
the Monster Hunter veteran types, after his first high-rank Chatacabra kill. He has spent 800 hours in Monster Hunter World, 700 of which was spent in the Iceborne expansion, where the monsters were actually in a higher difficulty rank, called Master rank. But he has promptly forgotten this, as most Monster Hunter junkies proceed to stop thinking logically about anything after the 500th hour of playtime, and just lets muscle memory do literally everything - even complaining about the game is done semi-automatically through pure reflex alone.

The lvl 999 MR hunter makes post after post about how he hasn't died a single time during his entire playthrough so far, which is bizarre behavior, because a rational person wouldn't necessarily find that to be a negative thing. But since most god-hunters have personalities comprised 95% of pure gamer ego, the prospect of dumping another 800 hours into a game where he can't flex to his non-existent friends about speed-running an incredibly over-tuned gigantic black dragon that practically does 90% of your HP with every hit, a boss that was meant to be the penultimate challenge, grossly over-tuned on purpose for this very reason, is equivalent to an existential crisis.

"Where's my White Fatalis that does 720 degree spinning breath attacks that one-shot you? I don't understand. Why is everything dying so fast, when I evade 90% of all attacks, already know the optimal damage combos for my weapon, generally know which skills increase my DPS, and also enjoy all the new updated functionalities of my weapon that actually increase my effective DPS even further? Why can't I go back to spending 20+ minutes per hunt, which most people actually don't really enjoy, including myself back when I first played Monster Hunter for the first time, which I promptly forgot because that was 790 play-time hours ago?" The questions naturally arise in his head, but he can find no answer, as his muscle memory and guru-hunter instincts have already completely nullified the functionalities of his prefrontal cortex.

Another 10 hours of gameplay passes, and he has already seen the ending credits and has made his first rarity 8 gear. Naturally, things die even faster now, because he has acquired better gear. Unfortunately, something that should naturally be a cause of more enjoyment for any normal player comes off as bitter disappointment for our lvl 999 Azure Star. After his 20th tempered Arkveld kill on a single day, he turns off the game after playing for 18 hours, non-stop. He then proceeds to make inflammatory posts about returning to Iceborne, which he actually never will, because muscle memory will dictate to him tomorrow that he will turn on Monster Hunter Wilds, whether he likes it or not.

The End.
