Gemma Hunting assistant

Is anyone else having issues with this mission? I find her out in the zones asking me to come over but then i cant interact with her. I have done Werner but am unable to interact with Gemma. I have closed the game, fast traveled back and forth and nothing works. No issue interacting with her at the forge either.

I can't interact with her to start the side mission to be told what creature to lure to her.

You start a Quest for a monster, it says Gemma (or someone else) is available as Hunting Assistant - you lure the monster from the Quest to her.
Usually the monster is right next to the Hunting Assistant too... at least for me so far.

I don't see the issue. You don't really interact with them, you just lure the monster from the Quest to them and they start deploying their tool or whatever....

I haven't gotten the Hunting Assistant during normal exploration.
If you do, then I would assume any monster would count or maybe the closest one.

You don't interact with her in the mission. You accept the optional mission to test her new trap device, which is a giant snare trap. Lead the Lala barina over to gemma, trap it in the device, hunt the barina, report the quest.

It should also be noted that yes, any monster that is trappable will work to trigger Gemma putting down the trap. Lala Barina had wandered off somewhere else for me, so I had to use a Congalala to progress.
