Never played MH before, is it ok to start here?
As the title says... I do like action RPGs however. Have been thinking of getting into the series.

If you can get past the performance, this is the most approachable it's ever been.
This is the easiest MH on PC, so its up to you. But i would say go play World first, it has a lot more content
if u wanna be wildbaby start here if u wanna be worldbabie start with iceborn
Completely fine, though the performance is still pretty bad, so unless your rig's a beast you may need to have settings lower than you'd think.
Go on, you'll like it, maybe enough to play the old games. Though i just can't go back after i'm playing a better iteration of a game, that's just me.
I'd say skip the title for now, the performance is awful. go get either world and/or Rise (with iceborne and sunbreak dlc respectively) they're fun, run well on a lot of systems and have WAAAAAAY longer playtimes.

This is probably the most beginner-friendly game of the series, albeit with the worst required specs to run the game. If you're unsure - and previous games are available at a big discount - they have a lot more content right now, but are a bit trickier to learn. Rise is especially old-fashioned and clunky in the game's structure, but the combat is exceptional and it runs on a potato, whereas World is like halfway between the older games and Wilds.

monster hunter world is really really really better
Wilds is super beginner friendly and perfect for a starting point. Alternatively you can't go wrong with World and currently World won't have the potential to crash your PC.

If you want a taste for what Monhun used to be you can try Generations Ultimate on the Switch for the penultimate golden days experience.

Yes. It is the easiest Monster Hunter to get into so far.
Ignore the QQ. Thats just one part of getting into the Series, the Crybaby Fanbase.

If your rig is decent and you can run it well, its totally fine to start with Wilds.
Going back to older titles eventually you will be surprised tho, as Wilds is quite easy compared to older entrys in the Franchise.
I've been traumatized starting the series in MHWorld. MHWilds is a much better variant :lunar2019piginablanket:
