Guys, capturing just gives out different rewards or rates towards certain items. If you need wu xu claws+ for example, capturing gives no rolls towards that specific item unlike carving. So there is a reason sometimes to carve over capture. The real reason people capture instead of carve in multiplayer is because it saves times. It does not have an increased chance of dropping the gem, nor would that matter anymore when target rewards can easily give gems out.

This is a myth. It gives the same rewards as carving. MOST of the time. Wilds removed the capture versus carving drop rates. However, it did not remove food buffs that give you extra carves. And you do not get those extra carves if the monster is captured. So, anyone who has a carving buff, actually gets less rewards from a capture. Wilds completely changed the way drops work, and now it is almost always better to carve when it comes to reweards. The exception is if you are playing solo or with friends whom you all know didn't bother to get food buffs. But everyone is really bad at this game, so no one will ever know this or bother to learn this.
Carver pro is only a food buff from Maki. And even then Maki is glitched in that the moment you warp to the area the map info for the meal is gone unless you leave the town on the map and come back. So most people don't even know how to get Maki's food buff for carver pro. What's more is capture pro does exist on another village free meal, and it's actually much easier to obtain. Same with the lucky meal that gives even more than carver pro or capture pro.

Absolutely wrong. It's only correct if you try save on number of investigation, which doesn't maka sense
Ah, sorry. I didn't realize you are illiterate and I actually tried to argue with you.

4 hunters doing 4 gore magala missions separately at the same time will amass the same amount of ressources than 4 hunter doing the same mission. (besides zenny)

Yes, at 25% of the efficiency. Because 4 players doing 4 gore magala investigations uses up four investigation charges. 4 players doing one hunt uses up one investigation charge. If four players each have one gore magala investigation with 3 charges. All 3 of you can do your investigations solo for 3x the resources. Or you can each do the investigations one at a time for 12x the resources.

In older games Killing gave different rewards as opposed to capturing.
World made capturing just objectively better option while balancing it out by making the hardest monsters hard or impossible to capture and this game kept the same rules only now every monster except 1 (and the low rank final boss) can be captured unless its frenzied but frenzied monsters die super fast anyway.

No, wilds changed the rules again. Now you get the same rewards whether you kill or capture. And when you capture, three carve rewards are automatically added to your inventory. However, if you had a buff adding extra carves, you do not get those extra carves from a capture. Not to mention capturing the monster instead of killing it provides less opportunities for wound break parts, as another poster mentioned, leading killing to be the superior option for rewards.

agree, even more so when you have the carving meal, so many parts lost due to ppl being lazy and capping

Why you act like investigations are not virtually infinite and on demand with all the player base and that you need to optimize charges ? You literrally have dozen of gore/arkveld investigations on distress at the moment.

That is what I am saying. Every time peopel complain someone joins their hunt and captures the monster, the response is always "Well, if you don't want people doing that, then play solo." Okay, then what if EVERYONE took your advice and only played solo? There would no longer be investigations on distress, you would have to farm your own.

Capture gives more rewards, and yes, you can get gems too. I have gotten many this way.

Incorrect. Capturing gives less rewards, it's just faster. Gems just have a super high drop rate in general.

SoS'ing is to share the investigation, not because you need help. Hunts are easier solo. It's more reliable too. If someone who was truely bad at the game and couldn't solo them wanted, they could just have the three support AI controlled hunters beat the monster while they afk'd.
typically capturing gives you more items but there is one exception. and that maki's meal it gives carver meal buff that can give you more carve from monster or tails. so I got eight carver from one monster and three from the tail

I pretty much always SOS just to play with others. I prefer it as an online game. I actually wish the game was larger and with a more persistent online aspect to it. Not an MMO but something where you maybe see another hunter in the wild hunting. But it would need much larger areas for that.
