I totally agree, there are several parts that have a higher chance of getting when carving vs capturing also.
Maybe I was wrong to dismiss the Carving meal... but the fact that there is such an OP Capture reward boosting meal just furthers my point that the two routes are more or less equal, loot-wise.
I am slightly curious as to whether the game tracks whether a hunter Captures or Kills more to determine which meal to give them... but honestly I expect it is just random.
World got people into such a bad habit wit the removal of dedicated carve vs capture rewards. So the newer players at the time just got into the habit of always capturing.
Then Rise came out and brought these different rewards back and yet they still kept this habit..
And now in Wilds yet again theres a reason to kill vs capture (more chances to break wounds for more drops) yet people STILL try to only capture.
Its so bad Ive seen randos try and capture when a monster wasnt even ready yet...
You need to know when to capture and when to kill, there's reasons for both.
it's a non issue, Just go after the Guaranteed gems you get from investigations. I rather slay sense the hunts are so short and the combat is so fun why shorten it farther, slay all day every day.
Ain't no way. 🤣
You clearly don't know what the definition of the word 'myth' is.
