Black Screen after Odogaron story fight, help

just beat Ebony odogaron for the first time. after collecting my rewards screen went black for a long time so i force quit the game and reloaded. still a black screen. restarted my pc. black screen. frame generation is off. verified integrity. black screen. after waiting like 3-4 minutes I can hear my hunter and alma say a line of dialogue and I can sometimes get random menus to pop up. tried to have a friend link party invite, it works, but I can't really see if the environment link/quest thing is popping up. tried to coordinate the button presses blind, doesn't seem to work. trying to uninstall wilds and reinstall now.

different character works fine.

is my save just cooked?

I can load the save. I hear like the usual load in dialogue of alma and my hunter and I can see a menu when I get invited to link party. I also once managed to open the voice chat menu. but otherwise I can't see the menu or get sound cues

I'm having the same exact problem after the same fight. Short of reinstalling the game or downgrading my nvidia driver, nothing has worked. Did you figure out how to resolve it?

still no fix, probably going to leave the slot alone and start over :/

When I had problems with the game not running, I had to reinstall.

Yeah, that wasn't it. Full reinstall, clean driver reinstall, turning everything to low. Seems to be a save bug indeed. :/ Maybe Monday's patch will have a fix for it.

I have the same issue but at the Wyvern Sparks and Rose Thorns mission right when you reach the Lala Bariana fighting the guardian seikrets. I assume it supposed to play a cutscene but for some reason its not loading in. Otherwise i can play any other mission or join others in online gameplay without issues.
