Optimizing Game Data
Hey guys,

I recently went from nvidia to amd gpu and did not reformat, I only used DDU to uninstall the nvidia drivers (safemode) and then installed new amd gpu. Once I booted back up and launched mh wilds it had to optimize game data. Well today its doing it again, keeps wanting to do it every time I reboot the game.

It's time to take your ball and go home. There are so many other games worth your time and attention. Let this one rot in a hole where it belongs.

Am suspecting a Shader cache issue, but this is a suspicion. Try This:

Close the game

To to Steam folder/ steam/steamapps/shadercache Delete this folder,
Later go to \Steam\steamapps\common\MonsterHunterWilds Delete this file "shader.cache2"

Now Validate Files from Steam for this game. Open the game and let the game recreate all the shaders needed.

I on the other hand suspect an OS issue. If you are with Windows Home e.g.

Are you running the game as administrator?
Having the same issue, but what can I expect, pc release has too much issues. My 3060 can't even cope with wilds at, so I got a 4060 and now it's always optimising. Hopefully devs do something abt it.
