What's new here is the Wound system allows you to keep monsters staggered/on the ground for most of the fight.
This makes most weapons feel OP.
Chargeblade and Dualblade need some skill to use it. Chargeblade is confusing for a lot of people, Dualblade needs an aggressive playstyle and monster knowledge. For speedrunner no problem, but for the avg. player these weapon won't shine.
Bow on the other hand is quite simple and the wound system elevates the dmg output quite a bit.
Tbh, I still think Gunlance is currently taking the crown. Learn to perfect block and, yeah, that's pretty much it for some insane dmg. You don't need to care what the monster is doing (unlike Dualblade) and where you are hitting thanks to shelling (which finally scales probably with your dmg ups). Wounds open up left and right. Fast moving monsters are a bit of pain, thou.
Wild to see Gunlance in this state.
Shelling base damage still only scales with the Artillery skill, which is only on weapon decorations currently.
