They could've at least added progression
The only thing to do right now is farm tempered monsters for relics. Boring. Could've at least given us investigations we could level up to challenge harder monsters without requiring new content. I don't even care about loot. Just wanted to fight monsters that actually require effort.

You uh, you have progression. Notice how when you got to HR you only had normal HR monitors, then they turned to tempered? Tempered to tempered guardians of higher star levels? Also, if you do optional missions, one of those missions is multi-tempered hunts appear on the open world map. Sounds like progression to me.
I mean, high rank and tempered monsters are literally what you're asking for, yet it's obviously not enough. I wouldn't be surprised, if you would still complain about having nothing to do if the add like 3 steps above the currently highest level tempered monsters. There will never be enough for the top like 0,001 % of the playerbase, which play way more than the average player.

Optional quests are done, crafted all my rank 8 dual blades. fully upgraded armor. Tempered guardians are no challenge. HR 81. I shouldn't have to wait for the DLC and MR just to have fun. I probably won't even buy the dlc at this point.

I guess I set my expectations too high. I assumed capcom would take a hint when looking at player count between worlds and rise. Worlds was more of a challenge and maintained a higher player count than rise. They didn't notice apparently.

No point in farming those Artian weapons. After a few Title Update, they'll become useless because of power creep.

You new to Monster Hunter, son?

The first wave is all about getting ready for the inevitable next one.
Go hunt.
Go farm.
Go gather.
Go PLAY THE GAME.

Build up your supply cache and other consumables and focus on making the weapon that best speaks to you so you're ready for the next update if you're that desperate for new content.

We're on par with difficulty of base World. Wild's monsters actually have more HP.

I find that hard to believe when most fights only last 10 times. We killed 2 monsters in a hunt in 6 mins.

New to playing MH on Launch. I started MH on RIse's dlc. It was fun. Worlds was even more fun. This wasn't worth paying full price. I could've waited for a sale and the game might actually be entertaining by then.

We just do more damage and monsters have more accurate hitboxes so easier to avoid hits and keep more uptime for damage, that is why monsters die faster. As for first time playing at launch this is how both world and rise were at launch, you should've done more research into the base game of Rise and World before they got their updates and DLCs. And if you wan't content go play Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate and you'll see even World and Rise with dlcs lacks half the content that game has.
