Problem with the bow

when i want to apply a vial to the bow sometimes this does not apply, i recorded it to see if im doing something wrong but no, i got the charge to apply it and this just dont work, is not happend all time, just sometimes in middle of fights, i think its a bug but i dont know, someone have the same problem?

you need to have the gauge available to be able to apply coats. it shares this gauge with the tracker shot.

i know and thats not the problem, i got full gauge avalible but the vial sometimes did not applies :(

ive been using bow exclusively so far and haven't had this issue happen. Not sure why it might be happening unless you're trying it when your bow just isn't unsheathed maybe?

yep. also remember to change your option to disable "auto-unsheathe".

the only very very long shot guess i can think of is missed inputs due to performance or a controller issue. frankly i dont think the former is true and you would probably know if the latter was true.
Used Bow a lot, no issues with that so far

to anyone who's Googling this in the future, make sure you selected the coating you want using the D-pad up or down before you press triangle

I can confirm this happens sometimes (only uses bow for 200hrs+). Less than 1% occurrence but very annoying. I don't know the solution. I have my FG turned on, but I don't think that's the problem.

Might be a mod.
I've got a mod that lets me use any coating with any Bow, since a lot of otherwiise good Bows are ruined by crappy Coating options... but it has the unintended side-effect or sometimes just defaulting the coating back to Close Range Coating and deactivating it.
