Anyone else thinks that some defaults options are bizarre?
Like Seikret constantly running around like crazy by default, detailed map rotating by default, camera randomly moving towards monster by default.
Took me a couple days to figure out that these things can be mitigated.

Yes, absolutely. I spent like six hours just to adjust the settings until they feel good.
honestly yes, this is the only MH where i've had to fiddle with the default settings.
big things for me were the autoexplore seikret, focus mode toggle, rotating maps and mapping pause to one of the quick actions.

How do you stop the camera from following the monster ? That annoys me to no end, all I wanna do is loot that cut off tail while the camera thinks I should only be looking away from it to see the monster flee in the distance....
The other two I figured on day one and disabled them.

Then there is the panning cinematic view when you defeat a monster before it allows you to loot - in World you could skip that by hitting Esc right as the monster died, I haven't been able to do that here.

i press select on controller to skip end cinematic on kill. the other option you are looking for is under camera options i think, disable monster follow. somewhere in the menu you can turn it off

Your camera is following the monster?

I deactivated all auto-adjustment, including the target lock, so... just remembered I wrote it down

check the Veteran's Hunter Settings section at the bottom

The end quest camera just hit the skip button - hit/press shortly - not holding.

There's tons of settings. I'm just surprise people are willing to keep it all on default. People are willing to spend 2 hours on character creator but only 10 minutes looking through Option.

can you turn off the victory animation? in multiplayer some ppl seem the be able to move much quicker then me, but maybe there animation is more centered on them.
but i didnt saw an option for it yet.

Oh thank god there is an option for that. Gotta find it next time I log in, there are so many options in menus inside menus, must've skipped over that one. Thanks.

On PC, is that Y ? Cuz Esc is not working. Ugh, I swear I am fighting harder with the UI than with the monsters in this game. World was the same, but here its on another level.
