Anyone else disappointed in the armor variety
For me it's disrespectful that even armors like odogaron and anjanath that already had differing Alpha and Betas had them not added. We got like half the amount of armors when compared to world. On a positive note I do like some female pieces of armor, like the arkveld set having a open style helmet. Still it disappoints me that they got lazy on the armor. What do you guys think?

Dude wants 8 sets per monster.

I don't think one is better then the other I just wish they gave wilds the same amount of love and care.
absolutely. I didn't really have to craft any other gear at all except upgrade the one I had from the beginning. That shouldn't be a thing lol.

Old MH games had Melee Sets and Gunner Sets for each monster and armor were diferent on male and female characters, in World, you had Alpha and Beta sets with small visual diferences, but in Wilds, just one set

I do like that I can wear either gender's version of the armour sets and that it doesn't change the body to the opposite gender's if you wear it, some of the opposite gender's armour is more visually appealing, such as the Rathalos Helmet which covers the whole face, or the Nerscilla armour set.

Love that!

The problem with Wilds is because instead of use the resources to make alpha and beta sets, they made male and female variants. Again the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with "huur duur gender duur" ruining everything
Armor feels really meaningless because of the new skill system. Partbreaker/flayer are really the only skills that matter, aside from the few weapon specific ones. It's pretty crappy.

Funny you insult other people's intelligence with that statement because the gendered armors are still called masculine and feminine. Alpha and Beta armor sets depict which skills and deco slots the armor has, not it's appearance.

They still had to make both female and male armors for the other games, they still made 4 different varieties of armor for each monster in World.

Anyways yeah its kinda dissapointing the only difference in alpha and beta is what the armor's color starts at.

Beta has less built in skills and more deco slots. It's just hard to notice because the majority of armor skills are non impactful.

Yes of course, I know that. Everyone talking about this probably knows that too and I assume that. I'm talking about the cosmetics of the armor itself. Especially when layered armor has been the easiest it's been to unlock its disappointing that there isn't a visual change.

Mm, fair. I don't mind the lack of visual change, tbh. Though it should look like the old gunner armor, yeah. However, what I am feeling the lack of is armor sets in general. There are soooo few armor sets, so it's hard to make some good fashion. Though, that is something that will be fixed in time so I'm not too bothered by that. I'm mostly bothered by the skills. Armor feels so samey due to the lack of skills that matter, and basically everyone wears Arkveld and/or Gore armor.
My first impression of Arkveld's armor was : I looks like Elderly Cousin IT went to visit some VIkings. For 5 years of design they are underwhelming and look more like generic MMO armors vs. Monster Hunter armor.

Aww, guardian arkveld is my favorite new armor.
