I'm aware, but that wasn't why I replied to that person. They're lying through their teeth and have zero understanding of how these things work, which annoyed me.
The thing about calling devs incompetent was just a blanket statement since even today there isn't really a game out there that requires more than 16gb's to play.
That's not really how RAM works. More RAM is just more space for programs to deflate commonly accessed information for faster/easier access. Unless you are hitting 100% usage and are reading/writing to the page file, more RAM won't significantly increase performance.
Now RAM with a higher Mhz (MT/s) can improve performance, but it is usually minimal.
It's better to save that cash on a more important upgrade like a CPU or GPU that will actually have a noticeable impact.
However, there is a clear improvement after the replacement.
It could simply be that my memory is broken.
However, since my friends are also experiencing crashes, I can't say for sure that there isn't a memory shortage.
Game also uses 32GB of a page file... at least that is my experience... In addition to whatever it uses with RAM...
edit: its a joek plz dont actually do that and 32gb certainly should be more than enuff
