This game requires 32GB RAM or more.
I feel like the game is using too much RAM.
32GB RAM is not enough.
As I continued to play, the memory usage increased.
I was experiencing frequent crashes, so I replaced the RAM with 64GB.
Now I rarely experience crashes.

Yes.

I also recommend using tip #7 in regards of memory leak here:

The game also has a memory leak? This comedy of errors would be funny if it wasn't so sad.

RAM is cheap and easy to replace. Having less than 64GB of RAM in 2025 is unacceptable.

Yes.

I also recommend using tip #7 in regards of memory leak here:

As long as you are ok with excessive writes on your SSD that will shorten it's life you can certainly do that.

If you have excessive writes on your SSD because of that, then you have much bigger issues as that is certainly not normal.

What do you think paging out to the drive because of a memory leak is? It's writing data to the SSD that would otherwise go into RAM. If the game has a memory leak and you start paging out to the drive it will continue to write more and more data to that drive.

This will also drastically hurt your gaming performance as the CPU needs to wait around for data that was paged out to the drive rather than sitting in RAM.

Read again what you wrote, then read properly what you trying to refer to.

And you clearly did not read what tip#7 is.

♥♥♥♥ take is a ♥♥♥♥ take. 99.99% of games do not require more than 16gb's. If they do, it's because devs are incompetent.

That was 2014

Go find the 5 games that require 16gb's in 2014 and I'll show you 500 that doesn't.

I see. I stand corrected. I was reading down that page and didn't realize that there is multiple number sevens.

I will give you credit, that write-up is quite lengthy.

Simply put, the memory usage of this game is insane.

In a vacuum, sure. Now add all the extra stuff running in the background like Steam and Discord. Let's not forget the memory reserved for your OS. All of the sudden that 16gb of ram turns into 8gb of accessible memory. More ram is almost always better regardless of whether or not the game requires it.

64gb is a bit overkill for the average user, I agree.
