"Weird" Crashes
Hi,

while crashes are sadly nothing out of the ordinarey right know, i cant seem to find other reports on the kind of crash i have been experiencing since the beta.
The game doesnt outright crash, it "soft locks" for around 5-10 seconds, then it freezes for another few seconds and then my PC restarts.

There are a few different examples of this:
I open the Map but it doesnt show up. My Hunter is locked in the animation, i can still run around but other interactions dont work. After a few seconds the freeze occurs and after a few more the restart happens.

Another example of this is when i talk to a npc but the dialogue doesnt start, just the camera zoom, nothing else happens, a few seconds pass, freeze, restart.

If this happens in a fight the music stops playing, the monster AI seems to stop working (they just run around), freeze, restart.

Tried to deactivate a few different graphic options (Frame Gen, Ray Tracing etc.) but that doesnt seem to help as those crashes are still occuring every now and then. In my whole playtime i had around 10 i would say.

So just asking if someone has the same kinda crashes or if there is a discussion revolving around these specific crashes i just happen to miss.

Sounds like there is too little memory at first glance.

I had this in the beta 3x. Didn’t purchase the game because of it.

Did you ever find a solution for this? I feel like I've tried everything at this point. I can go nights playing for hours on end with no issues, but it's only a matter of when not if it occurs. I'm on a 7800X3D, 4090, 64 GB of RAM. Also ran OCCT 1 hour stress tests for every test + the combined test, 0 issues with my system.

Can you share a screenshot of your virtual memory settings?

Which of the graphics cards have you set for Monster Hunter Wilds? Is the other disabled or on standby?
Does this happen with any other high intesive games? Or just wilds

This seems incredibly familiar to what i experienced where my motherboard was dying.

No, tons of high end games run fine. The only other game that caused this issue was that piece of crap Star Wars Outlaws. Obviously not OP, but like I mentioned, I ran every stress test OCCT provides (also Memtest) and I have 0 issues with my system.
