Monster Hunter Wilds

Monster Hunter Wilds

Statistiche:
So I'm Ready... (What are the rules?)
I've got my armour set, I've gotten used to my choice of weapons and now I will venture into multiplayer lobbies, but before I do, tell me the rules.

What are those "hidden rules" the community makes?

For example, I was hunting a monster earlier with the bow, and people were watching, but didn't engage? Do we not engage other people's fights?

So if you have the time, drop some etiquette and call those out who are posting nonsense. :lunar2019piginablanket: I am genuinely asking and don't want to confused with stupid rules with actual ones. Thanks!

Let the host cap otherwise just slay the monster. Let the GS dude wake up sleeping monsters for the juicy dmg multipler coupled with mega bombs (I nowadays dont carry them since I lack mats and I really dont have the urge to farm these).

Some extras in wilds I would add is let the CB dude do focus attacks for him to get savage axe mode. Try to avoid lance bros since they get tripped easily if they dont have flinch free.

And the most importent rule. Always praise the Dooter.
The only rules you should care about are 1) don't be a jerk, 2) participate (no free ride), 3) if the host says capture/kill, go along with it.

All the other nonsense is just that.
If there is a heavy bow gun main in your match you are his slave

Stun the monster, flash it, trap it, he kills the monster, peasant.

Your weapon is a toy in comparison.

Remember it.
Yo sorry drunk and joking, real advice

Just pay attention to other players strengths and what weapon they are using, often having a good hammer player on the head makes a world of difference, sometimes the hammer player just mashes the worst attack at its least damaging point - use your own initiative

A hammer user will want to attack the monsters head for the stun effect, don't crowd him or flinch him with attacks, choose another area of the monster to attack typically the forelegs with many weapons

Nothing wrong with just doing white damage with a Sword and Shield at the legs of a monster so long as you got friends on the head with things like Hammer or Greatsword when the monsters toppled. Go for the tail if it doesn't take long to get to if it can be cut

Use things like lifepowder/group healing items, if you're max health keep them ready to go - if your group gets hit by like an area of effect attack you can glance at their and your own health bars and see if its justified to use a lifepowder or its stronger version

You'll often find other players will simply do it at the same time as you, having the same thought - get everyone up to max health and lets do it

Use traps and flashbombs, if you aren't in a position to consistently make these or whatever its fine - but if you are... just use them! traps are essentially a free stun, flashbombs can take flying enemys to the ground instantly if they aren't immune to it

And if you have excess traps or flash bombs, and the monster is targeting one of your two ranged team members - shoot a flash bomb or something if you're running up to try damage it. It lets YOU have openings to damage it, and lets your say two ranged members roll back once or twice and just HAMMER it with damage without fear of it getting to them

And above all

If you join someone elses hunt, look at what it is and think if you can help without carting every 5 seconds

Lot of people really don't care that much but if you're joining like a hunt with someone who has been soloing a monster you consider difficult yourself so far, for 17 minutes and you join and cart three times, you've wasted 17 minutes of his life. Lot of people like the social aspect but also value their time so join hunts you feel confident enough about

Anyway have fun ♥♥♥♥ advice really just play the game
Thank you to all of you and @Oh_Look_More_Bugs, I figured you're just messing about, and appreciate your 2nd comment. :lunar2020ratinablanket:
