ok, someone please explain WTF is going on here...
i check the map, spot a monster with nice bonus drops, go for it and keep getting the nonsense about "no authorization" meanwhile i totally got authorization to hunt the monsters of the same species that are standing right next to the big bounty ones...

like i understand getting that garbage message when trying to hunt stuff beyond out hunter rank, but come on, stuff like a default high-rank balahara that's even showing a bounty instead of the usual "quest generation not available" if you can't hunt it...

Maybe it ran out of time and are moving out of the map soon.
Other than that is the HR locked but balahara probably ain't high level enough to be locked.

there wasn't any notification about any of those creatures i tried so far, like seriously, i always check the map if there's a bounty available or not, if not i skip them until i got the rank required, but by now i already hunted down 5 creatures that the map said had big bounties on them, yet that dumb B alma keeps telling me no authorisation, but when i went to any other monster of the same species the quest for them triggered just fine and i got a reward for them instead of the big reward i was aiming for -.-

its kinda buttcheeks and the player should never encounter a monster they cant fight/skin, seems like game design issue

umm i'd say read my issue again, i clearly stated that the same monster species worked for quests right after getting denied the big bounty one, like 2 balaharas chilling next to each other, one with 5 decoration reward bonus, the other with 1 deco and 2 trash rewards, the 5 deco one told me "no authorization, the 1 deco/2 trash one triggerd just fine, i still killed both and they were literally the same exact fight...

well, guess 10+ minutes already counts as "leaving soon" then i guess, at least i just had another such case where i checked everything, time, bounty, details suggesting some weird rank restrictions and whatever, everything was in the green but nope, "no authorization blabla" =/

Means you didnt have unlocked what ever sub-varient. you can still kill it and get rewards tho.

HR 20 and like i keep saying, they are the exact same species, difficulty etc as the other monsters in the area but whenever one of them has 5 bonus items on them it always seems to screw me over with "no authorisation" while it clearly shows that i'm eligible to hunt it on the map...

like if you are too low rank it straight up tells you "qauest creation impossible" right there after all...

sub-variant? WHAT sub-variant of DEFAULT balaharas is there?
both looking the exact same, both are the same size, both are exactly the same 3 star difficulty yet one works for the quest, the other doesn't...

No, it even happens with monsters that have still 20 minutes left in the area. It's due to too low HR. Game design issue.

that's definitely not it in the case i'm describing...
checking the details on the map, tells me "HR9 or higher", i'm at HR20 but still not getting authorization...

and like i said, i'm HR20 so far above the requirement yet it refuses to let me trigger the quest by slapping it and told me "no authorization" all over again...

There is a pseudo post story that you have to progress. The only ones I've run into without authorization are the biome specific bosses (ray dau, etc).

Doesn't mean you can't beat them, just means all you'll get are part breaks and carves, no reward for capturing or slaying.
