The Lord of the Sea Lagiacrus Needs to Bring Back the Fear to all Players even Pros, Lagiacrus should be the reason we play in a Party of 4 again,

Underwater combat is the main reason why we played 4 players in Tri always,

Lagiacrus would kick ur ass underwater in tri, and you would flee and it would chase after you on Land thats how badass of a Monster it was it chased you on Land if you pissed it off underwater

Rathian the Queen of the Land

wouldnt put him in the same tier as Deviljho.

calling deviljho a king feels inaccurate. it's nomadic and highly destructive, to the point that it's considered kill-on-sight by the guild. when i think of a king, i think of someone who protects and nurtures their domain (at least, in a hypothetical world where monarchies don't suck), which is not how i would describe deviljho in the slightest. granted rathalos isn't much of a "protector" either, but at least it's not actively harmful to the environment it calls home.

aaaanyway, water combat is 100% never coming back. that said, if they incorporate some stuff similar to uth duna, giving lagi dives and lunges that use the water to increase it's mobility, it could be a really cool and fun fight. as long as they don't replicate gu's lagi fight it'll be a success i imagine.

capcom themselves have made statements saying there's no interest in returning to underwater combat. they don't consider it worth the effort, it requires a ton of resources and also demands that they double the amount of weapon movesets they design/balance, and on top of that underwater combat wasn't even received well when it was first implemented. they understandably aren't interested in sinking a bunch of time and effort into a feature that is at best seen as divisive by the player base.

maybe in the future that could change, but if they continue down the trend world/wilds is setting of more graphically intensive experiences i'd sincerely doubt it.

Like i said you cant see into the future they are saying that as of now, but once stuff and video games get more advance 10-20 years from now it will be easyer to do and less hardware needed you will see Ai will change gaming forever once it comes out in 50+ more years

i but soon anyone will be able to make there own video games or movies just like how everyone can ride a bike or drive a car we just need more time to advance maybe 100+ more years for that one
and even after we all die capcom will still live forever and make games, true story
