PC shuts down after a few minutes of gameplay
It's been very difficult to play this game, either it goes from good fps to 5 or 4 fps or it shuts down completely my pc after playing without any problems for at least 10 to 20 minutes.
It's very weird because only with this game this happens, I can play GOW Ragnarok, RE2 and 4 Remakes, Spiderman 1 and Miles Morales, etc. with no problems at all, but since I started playing MH Wilds I got these errors. This never happened with MH World.

I even thought it was my PSU since a few months ago the fans started to sound very loud and bad. I bought a new one with 1000W Corsair RM1000x Shift but the problem is still there.
I thought It was the temperature, but it never goes to more than 70 grades celsius the GPU or 65 my CPU.

I even limited the Mhz to 2300, lower than the standard max frecuency the GPU usually works, but again the same problem.

I'm starting to think my GPU is the problem but WHY only with this game.

Anyone else with the same issue or any solutions?

My setup:

Rx 6950 xt
R7 5700x
32 gb ram DDR4 3600 hz.
Motherboard: TUF B550 II
NvME SSD 1 tb Kingston NV2 and an HDD but I don't install games there.

This game has a problem with rendering and streaming, likely making your PC work much, much harder than it needs to, causing stutters in the slightest of cases. I've installed a mod that disabled Wind Simulations and my performance soared as a result.

Maybe try installing this mod and see if it'll help out your system?
upscalers usually play hell with power draw on newly released games, might just be an issue with using upscaling.

could just be a power draw issue causing the psu to overwork itself.
I see we have the same CPU. But my motherboard is old b450 series. Playing AAA games always makes my computer shutdown because of CPU overheating. Try to undervolt your CPU, I undervolt mine at 1.125 volt with 4MHz clockspeed and it's never going above 60 °C stable.

Turn your fans on.

Just had that happening to me earlier today. Was fine last night, played long session with no disconnection nor frozen. Fire it up today, 10 minutes in, game crashed to desktop. Went back in and play for 20 minutes, PC now frozen, and need to press power to turn off.

The heck?

i5-13500
rtx 4070ti
32 ram

usually when a pc just turns off it triggered a fail safe and most likely temp related.

Either the cpu or gpu is overheating.
Time for a new pc is what im reading.
yep seems like CPU overheats

That is an overheating issue. You can pray that you can counter it with MSI Afterburner - that is what I did. But there is no guarantee.

I recommend instead checking the hardware, like whether the thermal paste is applied correctly and still working fine. Alongside usual cleaning maintenance.

That is what everyone says. So that means nothing. Show us screenshots if you want to back up your claims.

i have the Same Problem, i Can Run Space Marine 2, Stalker 2 and other Big Titles without any Issue and this Crashes after a short time, i would say it is badly optimized.

Why would I lie to myself, I want a soluction
I will post later tho, but the gpu fans are at over 3000 rpm when I play MH usually.
Either your PC is overheating or drawing too much power for the PSU to handle. Its almost always those two things. Check your Event Viewer (Assuming you're on Windows) to figure which one is which. It'll tell you if it did shut down due to overheating hardware, or if it tells you if it shuts down unexpectedly which then indicates a inadequate PSU and requires replacing (Almost always the case).

If none of that for w/e reason, better start figuring out what else may cause it. While many already suggested a few already but this is my straightforward experience when it comes to things causing a sudden shutdown of a entire PC. If it weren't the case, it would've been a BSOD and that at least would've given a different situation, or something crashing (Whether its the game, or drivers, or again, BSOD) as that would indicate instability. So, it wouldn't be those but something to keep in mind.

The game has been running fine for me at least, thankfully but it ain't close to perfect, let alone superficially clean.
