Perhaps the training arena will have more information for you too if you equip the horn in the place?
They're most self explanatory anyway. Some of the more obscure ones like Sonic Barrier I think have been explained in other games and are probably the same - in Sonic Barriers case, it should act like disposable Tremor Res, Earplugs, Wind Pressure or Flinch Free, preventing one of those conditions before vanishing etc.
Yeah I read it in beta somewhere there is an option that explain it but I just forget where
Resounding Melody is like a piercing attack, it gives you a move that makes Hammer users jealous where you smack the monster three times with three spinning overhead strikes, and if your last hit connects it sends pulses in a straight line through the monster, very powerful if you've got your echo bubbles underneath too. Almost feels like a SAED, but perhaps not as powerful.
Echo Wave (X) is just a pulse of element, status or in some cases damage styles right? Echo Wave (Blunt) will do extra KO damage, but Echo Wave (Slicing) will let you deal a slicing attack somewhat similar to slicing ammo, just less powerful, which does sever damage and can sever parts. Echo Wave (Element) will just hit with a burst of elemental damage, and Echo Wave (Status) just builds up that particular status.
There's also Melody of Life which lets you unleash what seems to be at least a free Dust of Life whenever you want too.
There's probably some others, I dunno. Let me know if you find out where you can go to read about all of the things. I'm sure I saw it in the Hunting Guide in Rise or World, I can't remember. Can't play the game to check right now either lol
Sonic Barrier prevents a single hit to you, I think. That includes roars, so it also works as a one time earplug.
Eg. Offset always means it can counter *some* moves, if timed correctly. Offset moves can usually be held (literally by holding the performance button once the melody is queued up).
When a song says 'playing an encore' it means either encoring or playing twice, so the melody name turns from yellow (active) to purple (double active).
