Yep Tempered Rey Dau. I notice most monsters just seem to fall over and die at a sneeze, and I get that I am decent at the game since I have played since Tri so I decided to play longsword which the amount of times I have used in all the games totals to probably below 60 hunts. Yet still Rey Dau just falls over and dies as if he was made out of paper.
Maybe we will see Arch-Tempered Monsters more quickly this time.
In all seriousness, it's a combination of newer streamlined monster hunter and transitioning from MR/G rank to the base game of a new entry. The true meat will be in the TU's and DLC methinks
That being said, Tempered Arkveld is pretty spicy. Maybe because I still don't get his moves, but his dmg and health feels right. Unlike other monsters.
Why do you people always exaggerate? More people would be willing to have decent conversations if you guys didn't do this.
Yes, the game is easier than previous MH games, why the need for the hyperbole nonsense? It does nothing to help your argument, it just adds unnecessary passive aggressive bs to the discussion board.
Since I don't think they will be making AT armor sets and weapons.
Otherwise it has been a bit of a cakewalk honestly. Tempered Arkveld was scary at first, until I realised his hitboxes are far too generous and it's easy to avoid most of his attacks. That was also when I was using a crappy Hunting Horn along with not-so-great armour too.
The only other monster that has a chance to cart me is Xu Wu, and only because of all of the chip damage attacks it seems to throw out which can kill you before you even realise you've lost a chunk of your HP.
It is only LR / HR but I mean, I know there were solid and tough fights in World and Rise before MR came along, so I dunno. Here you don't even need to bother with traps or even flash pods, just hit it with a luring pod so it doesn't leave and go to work as usual.
No wonder they split skills between weapons and armour, if you could build like you could in World / Rise the monsters would be flatlined within two minutes of your arrival.
Looking forward to any future difficulty increases the devs throw our way, though. They need to really try to make future monsters and challenges require building gear and bringing equipment for though. That should kinda be the standard, not designing monsters so monkeys can beat them, making anyone who actually prepares just sleep through it right?
I want a fight that forces me to bring a healing horn just to keep people alive, or to actually care about packing elemental resistances or even eating anything beyond basic ration meals. Haven't had a reason to eat a single nullberry! Something...anything...please?
