Potential Crash Fix
Just leaving this info here for those that are still troubleshooting their issues.

Been having game crashes after the recent game update (was butter smooth before that). What finally fixed my issue was surprisingly disabling G-Sync (not sure why but it did).

Sad that I won't be able to use G-Sync features but that's better than crashing I guess.

Specs: 7800x3D, 4070 Ti Super, 32GB Ram

Seems like a different issue if you crash before even getting in the game but a crash is still a crash I guess. Hope you find a fix soon.

its the same issue in that its caused by the update they pushed yesterday. i had no crashes up to that point unless it was due to a mod i had (reframework) which eventually got fixed.

even after uninstalling all mods and starting with a fresh installit still crashes with this new update. others are playing fine with and without the same mod so i have no clue whats wrong with the game at this point

Might be a dumb question, but do you have a pagefile?

I didn't because I thought 32gb of ram is enough, but windows likes to allocate beyond that, even if it's not actively used which was the cause of my crashes.

yeah i do, i used to play escape from tarkov so my pagefile is huge to try and stop stutters lol. game worked fine right until that 200mb patch yesterday and boom cant get the game open no matter what i do. window opens, loads, gets bigger and turns gray, closes

An alternative fix from a friend of mine that resolved their crashing recently (and without disabling G-Sync).

What they did is they:

- made a fresh install.
- compiled shaders.
- went into options and disabled framegen and dlss.
- Exit the game and delete the shader.cache2 in the game folder.
- Go do disk cleanup and delete the DirectX Shader Cache.
- Boot up the game again and play the game.

Just leaving this info here again in case anyone needs it.

Some of my friends that recently made a new rig for this game experienced crashing as well.

After a while, we determined that the cause was an unstable memory overclock (9800x3D with 32GB RAM with XMP on to reach 6400mhz.

After tuning it down back to 6000mhz, the crashing stopped.
