curious how much bigger the difference will be with a weapon like dual blades that has better elemental damage
All Critical Element does is allow the elemental portion of the damage to be affected by affinity. If you have 50% affinity, half of your attacks will Crit and boost the raw portion of your damage. Critical element let's it *also* boost the element portion of your damage. That's it. Wilds seems to have 3 levels, so without actual numbers it's hard to tell how much each level affects it, but I'd assume it adds 33%/66%/100% of the elements damage as critical.
Let me know if i am wrong lol
When you Crit without critical element, your Raw damage is increased but your element damage stays the same.
With critical element it gives a multiplier to your elemental damage based on the level. It used to be a single point skill, so it was the same multiplier as raw... So your element "Crit" it does what it says on the tin. Gives your elemental damage the ability to "Crit"
I have 480 ele damage. 480/10=48, 25% of 480=120 /10=12, 48+12=60
Before critical element skill =
without crit is 186, with crit its 228.
After I add critical element skill =
without crit is 186, with crit is 232.
Did i mess up somewhere or is that right ;d
Critical element III was on
160 Attack
140 Element
No Crit = 64 Damage
w/ Crit Element lv1 = 80 Damage
Critting added 25% more damage.
It's 24.7% more damage for you. So basically tier 1 Crit Element is roughly a 1.25x modifier
Edit: I realize the error of my math. Crit Element isn't adding 1.25x damage. Since it's only increasing the damage of the element. Hold please.
Edit 2:
Tested on wounds for Weakness Exploit to give me affinity.
Weapon 1:
160 Attack | 0 Element
w/o Crit: 75 damage
w/ Crit: 94 Damage
Weapon 2:
160 Attack | 140 Element
w/o Crit: 79 Damage
w/ Crit: 98 Damage
140 Element adds 4 damage and Crit Element doesn't boost seem to boost it.
Edit 3:
Retesting with decimal damage values/no wounds
Weapon 1:
160 Attack / 0 Element
No Crit: 60.5 Damage
w/ Crit: 75.6 Damage
= +15.1 damage
Weapon 160 Attack / 140 Element
No Crit: 64.7 (4.2 Element)
w/ Crit Element: 80.0 (+4.4 element)
=+15.3 damage
Crit Element lv1 adds 5% element damage.
