World/icebourne was better?
This is a great game dont get me wrong...but its a downgrade in some ways.

- Monster diversity is way higher, but its lacking in the "wow" moments. Some of the monster mechanics in world were actually insanely cool and unique. Except for the flame octopus...The flaming oil coming out of severed limbs is fkng epic

- difficulty/monster hp has been nerfed way too hard...im "ok" at the game but I shouldnt be landing sub 5 minute hunts. That seems dumb as hell. There was never a WALL to overcome, I kept my gear as levelled as possible but I didnt ever have to rethink my build, craft for resistance/element or skills. I just walked in and killed the true final boss first try?

- status effects/stuns/blights etc were annoying as hell...I will freely admit to raging when I got stunned into a unavoidable one-shot. But that made you either buildcraft or get better right? I feel like they barely exist and can all generally be completely ignored. there is no "oh ♥♥♥♥" moments anymore

- Focus mode. what a blessing and a curse, I can finally play greatsword...but there is zero trade off, I can 180 spin at any time I want. It is actually op...to some a massive QOL update, but my god. did we just open a door that cant be closed? we are one title away from just having full lock-on.

- the small things. No house, or cat kitchen sure does suck...the routine of accepting a quest from the handler turning around and having a feast with the epic cats next to the exit was perfect. Now I do it all inside the tent.

-The connected regions just dont really add anything? I dont walk between them...im playing worlds maps same as before

- Nata...nata sucks, just have 1 trade and material window so I can spend as little time with the dude as possible. arkveld should have ate him

first of all, it seems you just played through the story/tutorial. The true game starts with high rank, as allways.

Second, we just play on easy/high rank, G-rank is currently not invented. Status effects where allways a bit annoying but as you said, you can build a counter for it...or just git gud :WH3_greasus_rofl:

Focus mode -> new invented. If capcom brings something new, its allways OP :WH3_greasus_rofl: check the other MH and you know exactly what i mean.

Yes it sucks a bit, but the point is, that you are the first expedition in the forbidden lands. so bases are obviously not build. Its not like world, where we are the fifth expedition.

The point in the connectet regions is immasion, its like world but this time its a true open world, not just big seamless maps.

nata is a good npc AFTER the story, where you can do your trades with all at one point.

I beat the true end boss dude...read posts before commenting.

nata is crap. he is 20 menus hidden behind one npc. just put all the trades in one window
Naw, Nata is fine. Skill issue.

:WH3_greasus_rofl: "true endboss", there is no monster like that. If you talk about zoh shia, well it was the story endboss, yes. But Monster hunter was never around the story, its all about hunting.
World is way better. They took away half your customization and somehow you are still more powerful. Less agency and more ease. It's a true shame. I completed all 6 chapters and it's really just meh at best
World/Iceborn is a DLC and 60 title updates ahead content wise though. Even gen ultimate had people claiming 4 was better at launch.

Also that guy in world never got his dragonator.

This is a bad argument. This base game has 50 hours of content at best and when CAPCOM knows what the players want and choose to regress, the argument "just wait for more content" becomes annoying. Just give us a full game I can put 150 hours in.

No you absolutely can not. I'm done with chapter 6 and within 43 hours I have almost nothing left to do besides grind different weapons I'll never use. 43 hours bub, 43

When World came out, they had less content than Wilds irc
Also, you have a lot more to do after chapter 6 lol

sounds exactly like generation 1 - 3, of which i put thousands of hours in to each >.<
World was crap during launch. The monsters were so slow. So much pointless investigation just to pad out the game. Deco RNG was terrible. No one ever use the slinger. 3 TED was the endgame grind.

Me and my friends did not cap out content at 43 hours in world base. That's just a lie. Y'all are heavy shilling

i think in world i had the story cleared about 2-3 hours faster than wilds. some of that is likely due to the cutscenes though.
