World/icebourne was better?
This is a great game dont get me wrong...but its a downgrade in some ways.

- Monster diversity is way higher, but its lacking in the "wow" moments. Some of the monster mechanics in world were actually insanely cool and unique. Except for the flame octopus...The flaming oil coming out of severed limbs is fkng epic

- difficulty/monster hp has been nerfed way too hard...im "ok" at the game but I shouldnt be landing sub 5 minute hunts. That seems dumb as hell. There was never a WALL to overcome, I kept my gear as levelled as possible but I didnt ever have to rethink my build, craft for resistance/element or skills. I just walked in and killed the true final boss first try?

- status effects/stuns/blights etc were annoying as hell...I will freely admit to raging when I got stunned into a unavoidable one-shot. But that made you either buildcraft or get better right? I feel like they barely exist and can all generally be completely ignored. there is no "oh ♥♥♥♥" moments anymore

- Focus mode. what a blessing and a curse, I can finally play greatsword...but there is zero trade off, I can 180 spin at any time I want. It is actually op...to some a massive QOL update, but my god. did we just open a door that cant be closed? we are one title away from just having full lock-on.

- the small things. No house, or cat kitchen sure does suck...the routine of accepting a quest from the handler turning around and having a feast with the epic cats next to the exit was perfect. Now I do it all inside the tent.

-The connected regions just dont really add anything? I dont walk between them...im playing worlds maps same as before

- Nata...nata sucks, just have 1 trade and material window so I can spend as little time with the dude as possible. arkveld should have ate him

thats how low and high rank pretty much always are.

are you lying or do you just have a bad memory?

Wilds literally has a mount that you can call when you are downed to scoop you out of danger, with i-frames.

even if the game itself had the same base difficulty as World, that addition alone would make Wilds a ton easier.

i carted and failed hunts constantly in World and Rise, but i'm nearing HR 40 and i'm dogwalking even Tempereds and Gore Magala with under-leveled armor and sub-optimal weapons.

odd how experience works, its almost as if you get better and things get easier.

But nah, I must have never ♥♥♥♥♥♥ better, the lack of carts ive had since MH Dos must be the casualization of the series not my growth in skill.

Also as far as I can tell with actually doing some testing with the knocked down mounting iframes, they arent as op as people think. I have been hit MID ANIMATION dozens of times from it.
What it looks like to me is you get the remaining iframes from your stand up on your mount instead.

people keep trying to make this oddly elitist humble brag argument to defend Wilds but the problem is that other Monster Hunter games exist.

i put 120 hours into World.

when Rise came out, i was carting and dying frequently in Low Rank.

i'm currently playing 4 for the first time and Low Rank in that game is quite challenging.

maybe you're some pro with 10,000+ hours in every single game and you sail through every entry's Low Rank and High Rank with ease, but most casual players don't and won't.

that's why even casual players like me are disappointed with the difficulty in Wilds; Low Rank in Worlds or Rise was never Sekiro-style hard, but it provided a decent challenge.

it doesn't in Wilds; you dogwalk every enemy, even most Tempereds, with little risk of carting let alone failing a hunt.

the record-breaking sales Wilds is seeing is simply going to tell Capcom that another watered down experience meant to appeal to people who don't normally like Monster Hunter is the way to go, so MR isn't going to be all that different.

see above and stop trying to move the goalposts; we're not talking about every single game since Dos, we're talking about Wilds specifically.

see above and stop trying to move the goalposts; we're not talking about every single game since Dos, we're talking about Wilds specifically.
Low rank is supposed to be easy, and the high rank is about average for the series as a whole.
If you want a challenge in low rank again, stop playing for 5+ years and come back.

They gonna burn you in the Comments for it. But your right with every single point.
This game was a HUGE scam and lie.
Monsters dont really wander from Map to Map.
We cant walk from Map to Map once we are in a Party with our Friends.
Monsters dont interact with the World.
They sold a simple Night and Day Circle with Weather Mechanics as some Groundbreaking Inovation where the World changes dynamically as we Play.

This game is just World 2.
And that would be okay. If they would have advertised it like that.
And not like its gonna be a great new OPEN WORLD Monster Hunter Game.

This is a bad argument. This base game has 50 hours of content at best and when CAPCOM knows what the players want and choose to regress, the argument "just wait for more content" becomes annoying. Just give us a full game I can put 150 hours in.

Your end game sucked. Was just augment farming and more often then not you got augments for a weapon you didnt want to play.

Sorry, but this has far more end game.
Wilds is less than 15 hours story and by 43 hours I'm pretty much done with anything endgame. Just fine tuning decos and stuff is all that's left. 50 hours and I'm fairly certain nothing left in terms of hunting gameplay will be left. Game so easy I literally skipped entire rarity armors. Why does Rarity 5 armor even exist when you can go right to Rathalos rank 6 then to the fire octopus armor rank 7 then done rank 8 guardian arkveld. There is nothing in this game stopping you from leaping over large parts of the structure because the game is sooo easy.

Force them to fight Burning Freezeing.
Base world was really not better at all. Obviously Iceborne was better, but don't worry, Capcom while probably cook very hard on Wild's expansion

please stop complaining about "there is no conntent" when you always talk about it. The point is that you can play in so many different ways. Its like you played LS and switch to HBG, thats a whole different fightexperience you made. The point that are different rarities is, that you can build different builds...it was a thing since day 1.

Bruh stop telling other people what the point of the game they paid money for is. You aren't the only one who's played these games and a ton of people all say the game is too easy and doesn't ha e enough content.
im now pretty sure that you expect a rpg but got a hunting game
