Each item should bring your ATK/DEF up a fixed value
Seeds are temporary and offer the lowest stat boost/Pill offers higher stat boost.
They both fall in the same category and cannot be used together for double stat boost.
Drug lasts for the entire mission and offers a lower stat boost than Mega.

You can stack a temporary (Seed/Pill) and mission-long (Drug/Mega) together for a double boost.
There are also charms that boost your stats so long as you have it in your inventory. The charm and their variant (claw?) usually stack together.
Seeds last around 3min.
pills last around 20 seconds.
drugs last around 50 min.
powders are seeds that just leave a cloud so team can get effect.

Pills last 20 seconds and don't stack with anything.
Demondrug/Armorskin dont stack with their respective other variant so the Mega is better and last a whole hunt.

In which situations would you take a pill?
I see. That makes sense. I usually always just go with the drug-version + powders as 20 seconds seem too short to me to waste the resources.
Might pill is still only 30 seconds but I've seen my adamant pill last way longer than what it has in past games and before I used item prolonger before. The seed lasts for 4:30 but gives the norm for defense but the pill seems bugged. Which I am happily going to not complain about.
