Should I continue the story quest to get higher HR?

I just finished the "main story," and my HR keeps getting capped until i continue with the extra story quests.
Should I just keep doing those so my HR isn't capped, or do the side quests and hunt monsters without my HR increasing?

Long story short: yes, continue the story until it is not capped

do the story first and use the other stuff to lvl your HR

Just play you like. Even it’s capped, you still get the hr behind. I done so many hunts that after the cap increase I got instant hr90+

if your HR is capped and you keep doing quests while it is capped, the game still registers that HR progress. If you do enough missions you can have ur HR jump from where it was capped to the next cap if you did enough missions. It’s pretty fun to keep the cap for a couple days and then do the story mission to remove it and watch your HR jump from like 20-30 (wherever ur cap is) to 60s or 70s. The downside is that you are locking yourself out of new monsters/content by not doing the story missions and increasing your cap
