Monster Hunter Wilds

Monster Hunter Wilds

View Stats:
The game was not balanced for co-op play.
Literally any hunt becomes a stun lock Pinata party if you do it in Co-op.
Borderline feel like monsters get like barely any HP or status resistance scaling in COOP.
You can just bring along a Hammer and a Paralysis weapon and alternate between the 2 and also spam Seikret jump attacks to mount the monster to not let the monster play the game at all.
People should not be demolishing Tempered monsters in under 5 minutes this early in the games life cycle.

The only time i have fun in this game is if i solo monsters because i actually get to engage whit the monsters attacks and mehanicks.
And if i am having more fun playing monster hunter alone and the only time i do COOP is to skip material farm then you messed up this games core design hard capcom.

And that's different than previous games since World how?

Monster hunter games before World had separate Solo and Coop lobbies whit different Monster difficulty and stats.
In fact in all older Monster hunter games story was low rank only and you have to do the Coop lobby to get to high rank.
World still gave monsters enough of a buff to health resistance and aggression and damage to actually make some hunts harder in coop than solo.

They did announce a true harder endgame in a future update so il guess we will see how that turns up.

Friend, multiplayer in Monster Hunter has always been a party of chaos. Monsters do have less health, but thats something you should embrace. Saves you valuable time and thanks to the seikret theres less useless walking when the monster flees.

Well, how about not spamming seikret jump attacks and not using paralysis weapons? You're not forced to use the things that make the game less fun for you, you know...

I wouldn't say literally any hunt. Gold and silver crowns are more resistant to wound dealing, even if the person is running flayer. What it means is Arkvelds and Gore Magalas that are tempered and gold/silver not only one shot ranged classes with certain attacks (even if they're in end-game gear). They also aren't being wound chained constantly as a result too.

edit: Saying this as one of the few people who has fought literally every fightable monster as a gold crown at least once. Like 0.0% of people have that achievement. And I'm telling you, tempered gold crowns aren't wound chained for half the fight like they are in normal fights for me and my friend. In fact, my friend usually has a hard time getting wounds at all for their charge axe in these fights specifically.

Well co-op is always easier if you play with at least somewhat competent players. Just like all from soft games become completely easy if you play them in co op with somewhat competent players.!

♥♥♥♥ just keels over dead in 2 minutes in coop even if you don't mount or use para, the coop health multiplier is just way too low, just proccing wounds can chain-cc most things in coop

MH games before World didn't had scaling.
Guild hunts were the only end game.
Guild monsters were all solo-able, but it does not change they fact they always had stats tweaked for 4 player raid.
They all died in 5 minutes with 4 players and were stun locked the same.

How do I know?
Because I had a group of 4 people and we got pizza, beer and went to meet at one of our places for MH coop evening on PSP, than on 3DS every single Saturday for years.

Hunts in coop were ALWAYS easier, 2p in world monster had 150% health, going to 250% with 4p..

It was the same in Rise and it seems to be the same here.

Hunts above LR feel like this, because you are no longer a noob and players you play with are not noobs either.
You underestimate how much people dedicate to this game

Meanwhile.. Here I am failing 5 Jin Dahaad fights in a row because some people drop like flies despite the pinata party.

its exactly what i said.
So apparently every single hunt i join online is just experts who can kill a monster in 3 minutes in a game that is not even a weak old.
I understand people demolishing monsters after playing the game for 300+ hours but this is basically my experience so far in any Coop fight that is not Against the giant ice monster in the 30 or so hours i played. I have not had one challenging coop fight every single one was basically as engaging as training mode whit a moving target.
The game is still fun but the COOP right now is just ass.

He is the only exception because he is so big and harder to stun.
Ironically i killed him 2 times solo because no one would join my SOS.
He would down me 2-3 times each time but it was a kill every time.

I die to him all the times because I cannot find the freaking cover fast
The entire game is unbalanced. I did everything solo except the last couple fights to complete chapter 6. When I finally called in those AI bot hunters.... Holy cow. It was just beating up on Arkveld... CAPCOM most likely won't rebalance the game or give us our customization back.

The wound system is probably mainly to blame here. As a HBG main, I can hit up to 3 wounds back to back which usually puts the monster on the ground which is a huge DPS window for the entire team.
